Her gift is the largest ever given to an American medical school and one of the largest ever received by any American institute of higher learning.

SPQA welcomes Dr. Christopher Green to the Board of Directors. He is the Director of Quality and Safety at Eastern State Hospital in Williamsburg, Virginia since 2019. Chris is responsible for the management and oversight of hospital quality improvement, hospital safety, risk management, and health information management in collaboration with the administrative and clinical leaders of the hospital. Dr. Green holds a Ph.D. in Health Science from Rush University in Chicago, Illinois, an M.S. in Health Science from the University of North Florida, and B.S in Business Administration from The Ohio State University. Additionally, he is Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in Virginia. He was recently appointed as a board member of the Citizen Advisory Board with Williamsburg James City County School District with a focus on Career Readiness Programs. Had a blast at the Sigma Creating Healthy Work Environments conference this past weekend in D.C. where strategies for improving HWE standards were shared across a continuum from academia into clinical practice. Sentara represented and shared a couple of strategies including the Zen Den @ SVBGH and the systemwide Clinical Nurse Manager program for leader development from Clinical Education & Simulation. https://lnkd.in/gcspyB66
