There was a post going around on threads a few weeks back that went something like "My Design Process: 'Detach Instance Option-Command-B'". That struck a bit close to home, so I thought I would do something about the wailing and tears I must cause my colleagues as I trudge through their figma boards like a component-smashing kaiju. Of course there are many online options for such (re)education - but I signed up for a course in-person with Transmedia Communications Ltd. very near me in Greenwich, South London. Tony, my instructor was great. Over the two days he helped me unlearn my bad habits and build up a new set of good ones, especially around the 'advanced' topics of variables or the curse of debugging an auto-layout (where usually I would have used the 'detach instance' sledgehammer too readily...) I even got a certificate to prove I'm not going to be a danger to my team (much) from now on! #figma #olddogsnewtricks
I had to do the same, auto-layout still wants me to break things.
Had on! I thought the Adobe’s acquisition of Figma fell through!? You sure you not been trained in advance InDesign by mistake?
Wait, what? People are still using Threads?
Am stealing "component-smashing kaiju" for my bio.
Congratulations Matt 😁 It has been a pleasure having you with us and good luck with your new Figma skills!
BASAAOD. Be as smart as an old dog.
Respect Matt… need to admit.. I should do the same 🙌

1moMy designer thankfully is very patient and she regularly teaches me new tricks,.. or ‘the basics’ as some might say…
