Please see below some of the “HEROS” as related to the aftermath of the recent bad weather that came thru Tennessee. Following behind the bad weather came a major drop in temperatures, making untangling the mess and restoring power even a more difficult task!

Today is a tough day... There is a major storm marching across the country, causing snow in the Midwest and the Northeast. There will be flooding and potential tornados in the Southeast. We will cover, uncover, and cover again all of our loads in these areas several times today. The real chaos is about to start any minute for our Ops team. We may have a load that doesn't pick up, although that is unlikely. What can we do? We can communicate through failure. We can let our customers know every trucks location, driver info, everything. Transparency throughout to show our partnership and how important their freight is to us. We are doing everything we can to ensure that mother nature doesn't effect you from meeting your customers' deadlines, and being able to invoice and get paid faster. As with anything we do, it is Freight First, and pushing through any speed bump or challenges with communication and partnership as our guiding light.

Ever since our snow storm in January, I have been watching my water bill. The City of Lake Oswego shut my water off at the meter during the storm because they thought I had a pipe break. My neighbor had a pipe break and when they checked and saw his meter running, they checked my meter too and saw my meter was running. But I didn't have a break or leak. I had my faucets dripping to avoid a pipe break. I had to turn my water back on to make sure there was no other potential damage. As a homeowner in Lake Oswego, your responsibility is from the meter to your house. If you did have a leak during the storm, did you know you could apply for an adjustment to your water bill? After your leak has been repaired and you have been billed for the high consumption, you can submit a Leak Adjustment Application form to the City of Lake Oswego. Leak adjustments are reviewed by comparing the same consumption during the previous year.
