❤️ Happy National Nurses Week! We're thrilled to recognize the dedication and accomplishments of our nurses this week and throughout the month. Today we're shining a light on Kelsey Taylor, RN, Nurse Reviewer, who shared her thoughts on #NationalNursesWeek and her fellow nurses at Cohere: 💬 "National Nurses Week reminds us all that we have a higher purpose in healthcare: we help to heal the mind, soul, and body of our patients. It also helps us to remember that all roles in nursing are important! I’m so grateful for the amazing nurses I get to work with every day at Cohere Health."

Nurse Wellbeing Consultant & Sabbatical Coach | Championing Well-being, Self-Care, and Career Fulfillment for Nurses
What a thought-provoking perspective for Nurses Week! Kaija Freborg DNP-TCN, RN, NC-BC underscores the vital importance of self-care and self-compassion in nursing. "We allow the voices of others and their needs to drown out our own—to the point that we may even struggle to identify our own needs or sense of self. Who am I, if I am not a care giver?" As Nurse's Week is nearing the end, let's take time to give ourselves space to explore how we can give ourselves space to "dissolve our perfectionism" and " embrace our flaws and vulnerability." #nursesonlinkedin #nurseburnoutprevention #thenursesabbatical

Happy Nurse's Week 2024! I am so proud to be a 4th generation nurse that stands on the shoulders of countless legends. My promise to the nurses that have paved the path for my success so far has 2 parts: 1. I promise to be intentional and grateful. I commit to surround myself with people that share my passion & celebrate each other's contributions - Iron Sharpens Iron. I am ecstatic to work with a courageous and innovative team of Nurses that are mission driven to deliver a workforce reality enabling clinicians with flexibility and the compensation they desire while creating financial sustainability and reliability for healthcare organizations. 2. I promise to say the hard things that need to be said. For instance, as we dive headlong into a new age of disruption & innovation at warp speed: if you're a healthcare leader whose organization is partnering with "technology firms" that don't have a Nurse voice at their executive table, ask them how they develop strategic solutions that are meaningful to real clinical users in a rapidly evolving environment. Then, ask yourself how many hours you've spent teaching them why/how systems need to operate in order to deliver seamless user interfaces & experience. If you don't like the answers, come sit by me and lets talk.
Happy National Nurses' Week! Today, as we kick off this meaningful celebration, we pay tribute to the heartbeat of our healthcare community. Nurses are the pillars of compassion and care, tirelessly serving others with unwavering dedication. Join us in honoring four remarkable nurses: Nancy Bourg, Amanda Wheeler, Tamara Miller and Dave Stillmunkes. Their teammates recognize them for their unwavering commitment and compassion. #NationalNursesWeek #NursesWeek #ThankANurse

Simulation improves performance in many settings!
According to an article in the October issue of Nurse Leader, Megan Matson, DNP, RN, an assistant nursing director at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and AONL’s 2023 Pamela Austin Thompson Early Careerist Award Winner found a new way to implement simulations in nursing. Her amazing work has demonstrated that high-fidelity simulation can help improve comfort among new nurses in recognizing patient deterioration and providing the necessary confidence to act. #Winning #Nursing #NurseLeader #HealthCare https://lnkd.in/ge9CuDwk
