Many thanks to Eliza Christian, MBA, Senior Process Improvement Analyst, for sharing her story with us and helping kick off #AAPIHeritageMonth. ❤️ 💬 "Being an adopted child from South Korea, I was raised to be proud of where I came from and that it's part of who I am. I've had a unique opportunity to grow up in a diverse home that continually supported my heritage. With such a wonderfully diverse company at Cohere Health, we have so many opportunities to learn from and about others!"

🌻 Midsummer Eve. A time for celebration and reflection 🌻 Tomorrow our Finnish colleagues will celebrate the peak of summer with a public holiday. Whatever your spiritual or religious beliefs are, we can all take meaning from the summer solstice. For Valamisians, that meaning drives us to: 🌳 Embrace growth and abundance Midsummer symbolises the peak of the sun's power. It serves as a reminder to embrace growth opportunities, maximise productivity, and make the most of available resources ⌛ Seize the moment! The solstice represents a unique, fleeting moment in time, reminding us to seize the present and make proactive decisions to drive success 🙌 Celebrate achievements In many cultures it's a time of joy, celebration, and appreciation, a chance to acknowledge and celebrate our team's accomplishments, milestones, and collective efforts 🌄 Embrace renewal and reflection As a turning point in the seasons, it highlights the concept of renewal and reflection. Take time for reflection, evaluate strategies, review goals, and identify areas for improvement. Encourage your company's culture of continuous learning and innovation Important points at any time of year, but in today's busy world, we shouldn't forget to stop, look around, and take stock before moving forward. A happy Midsummer to all from Valamis! 🌞 #hellovalamis #companyculture #strategy #wellbeing

This World Cultural Diversity Day, I’m fondly remembering this very important meeting with the @Sandoz ASIA Cluster Leadership Team and our Region International Head @Francisco Ballester last February, a few weeks after our Team Kick-off in Manila, Philippines, to follow through with our action plan commitment. This photo encapsulates how truly diverse our amazing team is. Our cluster is, in fact, home to 10 countries, with over 500 languages spoken, 11 major religions, a population of around 1.8 billion, and 700 employees. Given these facts, I could not emphasize enough how important it is for us to foster an inclusive and diverse environment where every one of us feels welcomed and is encouraged to bring our unique selves to work. What I’ve observed amidst this diversity is that there are 3 universal truths across our team in building trust: First, respect and active listening for fruitful collaboration across teams and countries. Second, #CulturalCuriosity: willingness to be educated about others' cultures and traditions helps create an environment where people feel valued and sincerely considered. Third, doing what you say you would: Regardless of cultural differences, keeping our commitments shows utmost regard and strengthens trust. Our cultural background is a critical part of who we are, and to the patients we serve. Acknowledging, learning, respecting, and celebrating these differences are essential to fulfilling our purpose in @Sandoz—that is Pioneering Access for Patients. That is why as a leader, this is a commitment I keep—to uphold a welcoming, respectful, and discrimination-free work environment at all times. #SandozDEI #SandozLife

Graphic Design Specialist, Marketer and Possibly your Future Colleague 🌟 Expertise in Branding, Video Editing, Motion Graphic & 2D Animation 🪄
Do you have something unique about you that makes you stand out from the crowd? When I first arrived in Finland, I noticed that I would attract a few stares, although not as much as here, where nobody even seems to look. However, not many were comfortable. I often felt awkward, more so than people made me feel. But, as time went on, I realized that embracing what makes me different is key to building self-confidence. I began to feel more confident because I was different. I'm always the one who stands out at events, meetings, and wherever I go because of the diversity I bring. And you know what? Being different allows you to stand out and shine. I remember someone on my LinkedIn posted a picture of an event where I was also present, and I instantly spotted myself in the crowd as the only one with head scarf. It made me realize that being unique isn't a weakness; it's my strength. Moreover, I've noticed that Finland's work environments are increasingly embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion. It's heartening to see companies here welcoming individuals from various backgrounds and cultures, making an inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels valued and respected. Just like the company I work in, Crowd For Impact, we are three different nationalities, races, and backgrounds. We embrace the diversity of perspectives and cultures, and it enriches our work environment in profound ways. So, if you ever feel like you don't quite fit in, remember that your uniqueness is what makes you special. Embrace it, and watch yourself glow. 😎

If Filipino entertainers can celebrate their anniversary in their industry, I also want to celebrate my anniversary in the development sector — it’s been 4 years (a toddler)! 👦🏻 ✨ Since saying “Yes” in 2019, I’ve held three roles in this mission for education reform: 🧑🏻🏫 a role in a public school 🏛️ a role in the national government, and 💎 a role in a corporate foundation My mentors were right when they told me that development work is fulfilling, but at its essence, it’s still work — it’s difficult work! ⛈️ What I’d like to do now is to share with you what I learned about surviving and thriving in this roller-coaster sector: 1️⃣ Acknowledge the hardship — What we entered into is a commitment that *builds* tenacity and strength of character. It’s a walk in the park, but raining. 2️⃣ Seek support — Speak up, because our leaders wouldn’t know how they could help us if we don’t *actively* communicate our needs. 3️⃣ Roll up our sleeves — Put in the physical, emotional, and mental effort to get the job done. But ensure rest and *reflection* in between. 4️⃣ Focus on the mission — The work that we do is always linked to a wider social purpose. Whom are we *really* doing this for? Wew. Four years. I’m pretty young in the sector which means I have a lot of learning to do. And this also excites me on the endless possibilities that lie ahead in this rigorous-but-rewarding work. 💗 #ParaSaBayan

Three things I’m grateful for today: 🌳 Living at beautiful Nesodden, a peninsula in the fjord of Oslo. I’m so grateful for our flourishing garden, being close to the sea and the forest, and for the kind people in our community. 🌟 Creating my dream job through Awake. It has been the most transformative journey and has taught me so much. Right now I am happy to attract the frontrunners in the marked who wants to integrate the Inner Development Goals through our pilot-program. 🌞 Sundays. I’m grateful that in Norway we have a day during the week when everything is closed. In a hyper, over-stimulated world where people struggle to be present, this is truly a gift. A great day to go outside and connect with nature. Today I’m taking my family to the beach. Do you practice gratitude? 💡 Studies have shown that practicing gratitude can enhance mental health, improve physical health, promote better sleep, strengthen relationships, improve self-esteem, increase resilience, and boost optimism. Since Marte Alstad Hansen and I started Awake, we have had a gratitude practice. This has helped us so much when facing challenges, bringing us back to our purpose. 🙏 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Inner Development Goals related to this post: Appreciation (3. RELATING): Relating to others and to the world with a basic sense of appreciation, gratitude and joy. #innerdevelopment #sustainability #gratitude

May is Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month! From the enduring legacy of Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders, whose roots run deep in their ancestral lands, to the resilience of Asian immigrants and those whose families have shaped the American story for generations — the rich tapestry of AANHPI heritage has woven itself into the very fabric of our nation's history. Our nation's founding principle of equality for all remains a guiding light, though the journey towards realizing this promise has been ongoing. As we commemorate the historic achievements of AANHPI individuals across our nation, we renew our commitment to forging a more inclusive and just society, one where every voice is heard and valued. This year, the theme for AANHPI Heritage Month is “Bridging Histories, Shaping Our Future,” a poignant reminder of the importance of honoring our collective past as we chart a course towards a brighter tomorrow. Here at Técnico, we believe in creating pathways for growth and opportunity for all members of our team. Whether it's providing access to new experiences, fostering a culture of inclusivity, or championing the achievements of each individual, we are committed to building a workplace where everyone can thrive. Together, we stand as one team, united in our commitment to continuous improvement and mutual respect. Our diversity isn't just a reflection of who we are; it's our greatest strength, propelling us forward as we strive to be better each day. Join us in celebrating #AAPIHeritageMonth as we embrace the values of diversity, opportunity, and unity. Together, we're shaping a future where everyone has the chance to succeed. One Team. Better Every Day. #AAPI #AANHPI #shiprepair #oneteambettereveryday #diversity #opportunity
