The #DailyLeetCode for today is 'Knight Dialer', a medium LeetCode problem which I'm happy to say I solved on my first attempt! As you'll see if you click on my submission, it's highly unlikely anyone else has used the same code! I learned the techniques used to successfully tackle DP problems from this course: https://lnkd.in/gCVzKAaR I'll always be grateful to the 'Mastering Critical Skills' series on Udemy for helping me rediscover long-dormant logical and critical thinking abilities! Although I'm aware of extremely gifted teenagers that have brilliant intuition with these kind of challenges, that series really helped me (as a non-CS graduate) reach a much more accomplished technical level than is usually attained without a background in formal CS education. Anyway! In 'Knight Dialer', I automatically thought of a DP solution after having a look at the constraints. My solution differs quite a bit from the ones provided by LeetCode, although I'm happy to say I found my approach and solution within 20 minutes! https://lnkd.in/gDpt63yK I think I could have chosen to use an 'isValid' utility function (for verifying grid co-ordinates) and a directional-array to simplify things and shorten the code. If anyone wants to review one of my very rare '1st time successes' in providing a DP solution to an unseen problem, feel free to provide feedback!
