🔐BRAIN TEASER ALERT!🔐 Attention all puzzle lovers! As the security officer at a high-profile company, I've been given a new challenge by our CEO. He loves to create puzzles and brain teasers, and this time he's left me a note with a mysterious sequence: 10P4S, 9P3S, 8P2S, 7P1S, ? This is the new code for our company's personal safety and security vault, which changes every month. The CEO always uses a pattern or sequence for the code, and it's my job to figure it out. Here's a hint to help you crack the code: 🕵️♂️ Pay close attention to the pattern in the numbers and letters. Each number is decreasing by one, and the number after 'P' is also decreasing by one. Consider what 'P' and 'S' might stand for in this context. Can you figure out what the next sequence in the code should be? Put on your thinking caps and share your answers in the comments below! 🧢 Don't forget to challenge your friends by sharing this post. Let's see who can crack the code first! 💡🔍🧠 #BrainTeaser #PuzzleChallenge #CrackTheCode #Mystery #CodeBreaking #PuzzleLovers #SecurityChallenge #BrainExercise

⚠️ A company fell victim to a $25 million scam during a Teams call, where everyone, except the target, was deep-faked. Expect an increase in such social engineering incidents; plan ahead if you haven't. Establish controls and raise user awareness to counter various social engineering risks. Start by ensuring meticulous adherence to processes, especially in significant payment scenarios, and implement multiple layers of verification. Unfortunately, it's likely these types of attacks are only going to get more frequent. News story here: https://lnkd.in/epjYjKiK Cybaverse #socialengineering #RedTeam #CyberAttack #deepfake

I'm roughly 45 days into my new gig Checkmarx and excited to be teaming up with my old "MWM" crew from BMC Software (Tim McCann Scott Walston Marcus Johnson). What I've learned so far.... - The World Runs on Code...literally. There is more code in our vehicles there there are physical parts.....by a lot - Securing that that code is more critical than ever to protect me, you and all the companies out there making those applications (products and services) we love and use everyday - It's becoming harder and harder to secure that code - how applications are built is getting more complex which creates a large attack surface for "bad actors" to do "bad things" What is Checkmarx doing to help the companies secure their code?.....glad you asked 😀 - Building #DevSecTrust with an improved Developer Experience - Consolidated platform to help reduce cost and complexity of multiple independent tools - Unifying the DevSec Experience - identify, assign, analyze and triage all vulnerabilities in one place with intelligent threat modeling More to come. Kept it short and sweet but wanted to share an update to my peeps. 😐 Give Checkmarx a "FOLLOW" to keep up with the latest and greatest......Checkmarx One 3.0 launched yesterday.

#buildinpublic update I've been in a bit of limbo between our household being sick for the last few weeks and our new baby boy set to arrive anyday now... I wanted to show off a cool tool I built for Civia Inc. today to catch potential security issues in development. I'm calling it an XSSTrapSeeder which automatically adds XSS payloads into our local database for all models. This lets the us set it and forget it (so to speak) unless we write code that trips on of these traps (so we can fix it before it gets into production). Just another cool thing that was very easy to do in #Laravel with the concepts and building blocks it has.
