☁️ #Cloud competition: The UK Competition and Markets Authority released a new working paper, which highlights how legacy #software vendors' #licensing practices may impact customers' choice of #cloud infrastructure. 🔍 Savanta research now reveals that 40% of surveyed European organisations are restricted from transferring their on-prem #software licences to another #cloud vendor by existing licensing terms. 👇 “Our research supports the basis of launching antitrust investigations into those practices – particularly the aspects related to software licensing restrictions having a tangible effect on the decisions that businesses are taking,” writes Savanta's Chris Woolcott in his latest blog post.
