Our team at Candid Health continues to grow! 📈 Excited to announce 3 recent hires: Brandon Hubbard, Rohan Dave, Akshay Malavade. Brandon has joined as our Customer Onboarding Lead in the New York office. Brandon started working in tech in 2014 as an Implementation Manager. He loved the nature of customer onboarding as it requires both deep knowledge of what the product can do and how the customer will use it, optimizing for their needs. Brandon worked in various roles within onboarding departments through 2020 when he took on a Customer Success Leadership role with a mental health startup. After leaving that company in late 2023 he decided that implementation in healthcare is his passion, which led him to joining Candid! Rohan has joined Candid as our Finance Lead (and first member of that team!) in the San Francisco office. Rohan joins us from HashiCorp, where he spent the last 4 years working across FP&A, Investor Relations, and Corporate Development. Prior to HashiCorp, Rohan worked at a boutique investment bank in Los Angeles, CA. Akshay has joined our Strategy & Ops team in the New York office. Akshay was most recently at Truepill, where he took on key strategic initiatives and managed a portfolio of accounts. Previously he was a consultant at ZS Associates, where he led process improvement projects and identified potential savings for clients.

Phew! Thank you to the entire team at The Big Search and at Navis for the hard work in Q1 - and also to our clients and the talented individuals who trust us with their most important hiring/career decisions. ✅ At The Big Search we partnered on exec searches with remarkable clients - from a unicorn social #marketplace giant, to PE-backed B2B #SaaS growing to 100m ARR, to VC-backed #deeptech start-ups creating game-changing IP. ✅ Navis broke through its 1000th executive research project, supporting other tier 1 executive search boutiques and internal exec hiring teams at tech companies on their leadership hiring. ✅ We scored a record-high client NPS of 88 at TBS and 71 at Navis for the whole of Q1! This is a very deliberate achievement, based on us putting quality above everything else, so it's nice to see the data reflecting the effort. ❌On the flip side our candidate NPS was 30, below the industry avg. of 33, so quite some work to do here - and clearly shows we let this slip. ✅ We grew revenue qoq by 12% - might not seem much, but after about 1 year of declines, this is great news. ✅ March was also our best month in the last 6 months - and the sales pipeline is stronger than it has been in a long time. 😐 After being stuck in negative land for 3 quarters in a row, our eNPS was also +33 again. Still, a lot of work to do to climb back to the 60s and 70s, but we have made some progress. Special shout-out to Elena, Andrei, Ilya, Ana-Marija, Curry, Petra, Ceci, Monika, Ivona, Julijana, and Emily. Thank you for what you do every day, day in and day out. It's a blessing to work with you all. 🙏 We keep pushing! 🫸

Last week the CRO of Catalyst Software announced (and gave reasons for) his immediate resignation from the company (Link in Comments) 👀 It was a brave move that gives us a fascinating insight into challenges faced by all tech companies right now, not just @Catalyst Software. He said (1) revenue and customer exec's weren't brave enough to bet on Customer Success and therefore the required tooling, and (2) CS was continually undermined by things outside of their control. Here's what I think is really happening: 1️⃣ B2B Saas customers have spent the last decade acquiring customers on dodgy payback economics to prove they were the "hot" company in their category. 2️⃣ They are now overloaded with customers they cannot deliver enough value for and/or serve effectively, outside of a core ICP -> which is way smaller than they care to admit. 3️⃣ So most companies have become inundated by competing priorities coming from highly-relevant existing customers and equally, highly-irrelevant customers who are going to churn... no matter what. 4️⃣ You now have competing priorities and perspectives across Product, GTM and Service. This balance is extremely difficult to manage, especially under the tight efficiency metrics now imposed on VC-funded Saas Companies. In the end these companies are getting beaten-up by an over-indulgence, in how much they raised, who they sold to and how much they tried to build. Catalyst Software cannot fix that for these companies, nor can Gainsight. Catalyst Software likely feels the pain more because they sell into a less mature ICP and can be more easily substituted by the CRM... While this is an example of CS getting undermined in many ways, this is NOT a lack of bravery from execs, reluctant to invest in CS. This is a disconnect in between execs, the C-Suite and the board. A failure to acknowledge the business they really have underneath them and to get the painfully-difficult-to-achieve alignment they need if they are going to survive... 😢 #gtmstrategy #revenueoperations #42ai

It's the final day of #NationalCustomerServiceWeek! We shared interviews with some of the members of Team GeoWealth that are hands-on with our clients day in and day out. Our clients know and love them, so here's your chance to get to know them as well. We're finishing strong with Jenna Peterson, GeoWealth’s SVP, Strategic Consulting. She is the architect of our client experience from end-to-end, leading the Strategic Consulting team and Advisor Services team. Jenna’s been a pillar in her six years at GeoWealth, so we sat down to talk about our ethos of service. 𝐐: What was your journey to GeoWealth? 𝐀: I moved from Michigan to Chicago to attend Loyola University and loved it so much I never left! I was hooked on exploring all the neighborhoods to check out concert venues and new restaurants. 🎵 After graduation, I got my start in financial services at a large fintech firm, where I was exposed to everything from operations, client service, custodial relationships, and RIA consulting. It was a great place to kickstart my career, but I’m happy I made the move to GeoWealth. Our smaller size allows us to be dynamic and my role is constantly evolving as our company grows. ⚡️ 𝐐: What has changed the most in your time at GeoWealth? 𝐀: It’s amazing we now have over 100 people! I remember when we could all fit in one conference room. It’s been rewarding to build our client-facing support team with an eye for the entire client lifecycle. 🎯 We are a technical resource for clients through their sales discovery, their transition design and onboarding, and their official launch. Then we stay by their side for day-to-day support for items big or small. 💕 Other TAMPs might go hands-off after onboarding, but GeoWealth strives to maintain the same level of service for a client whether it’s been days or years on our platform. 𝐐: What’s the most exciting part of leading our service teams? 💥 𝐀: I love solving problems. We work closely with RIAs to obtain a thorough understanding of their business and goals so we can tailor their platform experience and training. 🧩 Whether it’s finding creative solutions for RIAs to engage with custodians, changing their billing methodology, or embracing outsourced trading for the first time, we’re there to provide guidance and support. 𝐐: After an action-packed week, how do you wind down? 𝐀: My days are always fast-paced so I like to wind down with yoga after work, a walk on the lakeshore path, and some time with a good book. 📖 I also busy myself with my growing collection of houseplants ranging from a tree in my living room, to succulents, and everything in between. 🌼🌱 I love going to the farmer’s market every Saturday, where I almost always find a new plant to come home with me. Once I’ve effectively turned my home into a greenhouse, I’ll be ready for a pet! 🐶 Head over to our page to see all the #NCWS2023 Q&As for earlier this week!

A little more than 20 months ago, I took the leap to leave my full-time job at Google and embark upon the journey of self-employment. While I was extremely confident in my decision back then, I could not have anticipated the incredible impact and success it would bring. I called 6 different countries my "headquarters". I experienced projects ranging from part-time data coaching, to small 4-6 week projects, to multi-year data stack migrations. I was able to work with pre-series A startups all the way up to Fortune 500 companies. I met more amazing people than I can count. In my first full year, I was able to 2x my best ever W2. All this, while being able to balance and find fulfillment in my personal life... I got engaged. I ran a marathon. I attended double digit weddings (6 of which were international). I spent more time with family than I ever have as an adult. ... But despite all of these successes, I came to several other realizations: Self-employment can be lonely. Success is more fulfilling when shared, than alone. I prefer contributing to the growth of others over personal growth. The most stimulating challenges are the ones you can't solve by yourself. Any happiness derived from incremental financial gain diminishes far more rapidly than I initially anticipated. ... Long story, short. Despite my success in self-employment, I am beyond excited to share that I will be joining Summit Advisory Team as their new practice lead for Data & Analytics consulting. Expect a few more posts from me in the coming days and weeks around lessons learned from my self-employment journey, along with what excites me so much about my new role, and my future goals.
