Here I discuss how watching one of these ‘in memory of’ sections affected me last night and how I think they should motivate us. God bless. Calum ☺️🙏🏼 #bible #inmemoryof #inmemoriam #jesus #thegreatcommision #christiantiktok #christian #christiancontent #churchtok #churchtiktok

And those social media Hiya, we were watching a performance last night on TV. It's called the Royal Variety Performance, which if you're not in the UK. Comedians, songs, musical numbers, things like that. And then certainly we get to the point that the older you get. You know, more and more people, it's the. In memoriam. Or in remembrance of the people that have died in the past year. And. It's always a bit sad. There was some years where you know nobody. There were other years where. Me and my wife were discussing that sometimes you can just have one single person and it knocks you for six, thinking of you as like Robin Williams. He's Ledger, Philip Seymour Hoffman. So yeah, that's. And then this year we had Matthew Perry, which my wife has a big Friends fan. I got her. For me, it's the phenomenal, wonderful talent that was Benjamin Zephaniah. Is a poet and actor. He's a little poetry but social justice and anti racism and things like that. Did some of his books are incredible? His early stuff full of anger? His latest stuff is. Fun. Or some of it's fun, but just brilliant. It's always a bit sad. And they kind of. And I know it's it can be a celebration of life as well. But I guess what it reminded me of, and it kind of made me think so I was watching. It was. I don't know. I don't know how many of those people that died. Of them who were Christians, who believed in God, who? We're in the right relationship with God. And that fact alone should motivate me, should motivate other people to share the gospel if you're a Christian. Like. Two or three of those people. Either one night they took an overdose or something or. Something happened to them one night. Gone. Of the people. I heard Benjamin Zephaniah, it was like 6 weeks or two months and that was it. They found something. It developed quickly, gone. That should motivate us like that. That should motivate me to be. On money is praying and. Witnessing and telling people as much as I can about God, because death can come at any point and. That's not meaning to be doom and gloom but this time of year, but it's a really important part, is that Jesus came. So people could be made in the right relationship with God. And have a chance to live for eternity with God in heaven. And to live God's way now. And people are dying every day. People are dying. Talented, wonderful. People are dying every single year. Who don't know God. And that should motivate us if we truly believe. You know all these different verses for all of sinned and fall short of the glory of God. For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life. And we should be on our knees and we should be trying to tell people all the time. And I also think that if you're if you're not a Christian. Those things that we see at the Oscars, we see at the Emmys, we see at the Baftas. Things like that. They should serve as reminders to us that. He's just as quickly as a day and your life can change and that's it. And that there's a God who sent his Son to die for you. Who loves you? Who wants to be in the right relationship with you? And that surely the fact that our lives are very, very small in the kind of. Expanse of eternity that Christianity and the claims made by Jesus are worth investigating. Like they've got to be. It's important. If I would, life is like I've said before it raindrop in the expanse of the seed that is eternity. And it has to be worth looking into. It has to be worth exploring. So they just wanted to share that? A couple of Christmassy posts later. God bless you. They are about to do the horrendous iness that is Christmas shopping today. Bye bye.To view or add a comment, sign in
