Vice President, Product Management, Google

Google I/O is just around the corner and it's got me reminiscing about my days at Shazam when we got super excited about the whole thing. And here’s why.... I/O is about getting a look at the latest innovations in tech and being ✨ inspired ✨ about the potential of new technologies. As an app with a huge audience on Android, our partnership with Google was massively important. The Shazam product and engineering team really valued hearing first hand about new features we could build on for our users. So this year, I’ll be tuning in with fellow Googlers for the announcements. If anyone else is, I’d love to hear your thoughts next week! A few of my favourite highlights will follow on here... https://io.google/2024/ #GoogleIO #Shazam #TechInnovation #Throwback

These events are always fascinating even though I’m not a developer. I started watching them years before realising Product Management was my career passion for the reasons you described. I don’t even own an Android. I use very few Google services. But their innovation serves as inspiration. So I watch. 🍿
