Why do Offsites & Inflection Moments go hand in hand?
I believe it’s because not all Leadership Time is created equal.
Too often as Leaders we are trappped by the relentless demands of the Second and Minute Hands.
Offsites can give us the reflective space to work on the Hour Hand - the long-term Direction we set and how we can collectively navigate the Inflection Moment ahead. So as Leaders we can determine the next mountain to climb. And while deep and often intense, they can also be playful, interactive and deeply memorable experiences.
I’m grateful to the Leadership Team at JKS Restaurants for allowing us to peak inside the Rooms where it all happened. The group has more Michelin Stars than any UK other restaurant group, and are poised for a very exciting new chapter of growth. It’s been wonderful to support them on their Inflection Journey, at the offsite but also well beyond.
If you are facing an Inflection Moment ahead and want to take time and space as a Leadership Team to navigate it, please feel free to reach out. (Full disclosure: I don’t facilitate “jollies”.)
Thanks Jyotin, Sunaina, Karam, Laura & the whole JKS team for the wonderful video. (And other Leaders I have run Offsites with).
A tip: I suggest watching it with the music on!

Our Senior Leadership Team recently went to Birch Community in Cheshunt for our very first leadership retreat. While we ate, drank and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings we also collaborated to shape our departmental goals for the future and consolidate our strategies for growth.
Our inspirational facilitator Sharath Jeevan OBE joined us on the journey to challenge our thinking with interactive exercises, team building and open conversations.

eLearning may be easy and convenient, but don't be complacent about engaging staff! Our LDP program pairs Skillsoft Percipio Leadership Development content with a learning kit, peer support and weekly facilitated discussions. These boxes have been a big hit.

As we continue to celebrate our 20th year anniversary at The Leadership Academy, we are called to a greater responsibility to leverage what we've learned to help make systems better, smarter, and more agile, our President and Lead Executive Officer, Nancy B. Gutierrez, Ed.L.D., writes.

Two of our leaders, Adel Strauss and Anthony DeGraw, presented on the topic of "Practical Applications of Artificial Intelligence" at Encore Consumer Capital's 2024 Leadership Conference in Chicago this week.
Artificial Intelligence is a technology every organization should understand:
- What is AI?
- How do I use it in my organization?
- What do I need to understand from a legal and compliance standpoint?
If you are interested in having Integris present on the topic of AI, reach out to us!
Adel Strauss and I had the pleasure of representing Integris at Encore Consumer Capital's 2024 Leadership Conference in Chicago this week.
We presented on the topic of "Practical Applications of Artificial Intelligence" to their 50 portfolio companies.
Thank you to Kisen Nathu, Steve Mintz, and the entire ECC team for the opportunity!

Driving through Dublin traffic after work, we almost gave up on this meeting.
Arriving on location, we found a memorable talk and am grateful we didn't give up.
Most people talk, but today Vincent Ogutu was inspirational. Effortlessly articulating what captures the essence of a meaningful work culture.
Asked for my take home, I couldn't help but summarize that in every workplace you will get people with these perspectives:
1. Job Oriented people (mostly after the money) - These people are motivated by money. They will deliver the best results when they appreciate what you pay them. A pay rise would easily motivate them.
2. Career Oriented people (mostly after the status, rising higher and higher) - These people are motivated by career growth. A promotion or a status change would greatly motivate them.
3. Calling Oriented people (finding fulfilment in the work itself, changing the world and making a difference). -These people are motivated by the impact they make on people around them. They may even take a lower pay or position but would be motivated by the passion to serve.
In every workplace, appreciating how your employees are orientated will help to greatly motivate them. Most workplace challenges arise from stereotypes and assumptions of what would generally motivate people. A good leader will get the best out of his people by appreciating their orientation and meeting their needs.
Every day is a day to learn something and grow. I learnt something today and hope to help others in the workplace to develop a meaningful work culture. Thanks Daphin Juma
Another successful year in the books! Thank you so much for allowing us to be apart of it again!!! 💓
