Why is Gratitude Important? 😯 Engaging in gratitude practices for as little as six weeks can significantly enhance mental wellness and bolster physical health. When embraced, gratitude leads to a better understanding of our own place in the world. (more on humility later) Let's start with the basics Here are some ways to practice gratitude 👇 ✅ Maintain a Gratitude Journal By deliberately choosing to concentrate on the positives, your mental outlook will also gradually change. ✅ Share Appreciation Take a moment today to express gratitude to someone. Offer a sincere compliment, or write a heartfelt note. More likely than not, you will see how gratitude is infectious. ✅ Ponder Positives In the evenings, jot down three positive experiences of your day. This practice aids in unwinding and primes for a restful night. ✍ Practice these for at least 6 weeks. As you go about your day today, think: who deserves a little extra gratitude from you today?

To improve mental health start to: • Stop lying to yourself, be honest • Create a space from friendships that have outgrown • Set fire to the labels that you think which define you • Set a bedtime (and stick to it) • Ease into the joy of missing out • Sought out prayer, spiritual nourishment, pay more attention to what was working and what not • Say yes to interests (even if you have to go alone) • Exercise to feel good, not lose weight • Have really really hard conversations with yourself • Stop accepting inconsistency #mentalhealth #acceptance #improveyourhealth #createspace #mindfulness #spiritualgrowth

Kindness is linked to psychology every day. Love enriches our lives and promotes intoxicating happiness. There are many signs that point to the idea of mental health and kindness being friends. Whether it’s random acts of kindness, relationships, general social skills, or any other ways of displaying kindness, this promotes a positive mental state. This can be both for the person being kind and the person receiving the kindness. In general, increased kindness means increased happiness. Love radiates kindness. Both can have a positive impact on our mental health, and a positive impact on our physical health. Being happier means less stress in our lives. Typically when we are happy and stress free, so are our bodies. For many people, a healthy mind means a healthy body. There is a long list of diseases and sicknesses that are directly correlated to our quality of life and mental health. There are so many benefits to being kind. One of the best results of kindness, is Friends! Being kind opens up the pathway for friendships. When someone is being kind they are showing their best self, being social, listening to others, and wanting to extend a hand. When all of these things are out on the table, it becomes so easy to make friends. Regardless of if you are at work, at school, at a meeting, or in the grocery store, being kind may help you meet people that light up your life. #kindness #love #bekind #peace #happiness #compassion #motivation #life #kindnessmatters #positivity #selflove #positivevibes #inspiration #gratitude #hope #kind #quotes #mentalhealth #happy #selfcare #joy #smile #mindfulness #faith #loveyourself #instagood #family #believe #community #humanity

Addressing underlying causes of depression will always be better than the symptom-management offered by most of the wellbeing industry. If we don't look deeper than feel-good fixes, we'll never get our emotions on-side - working for us rather than an enemy to be feared. This is true for depression, anxiety, anger dysfunction and most types of mental distress... a little understanding can go a long way. #depressionhelp #emotionalbalance #mindfulness

The older I get, the more I realise - (A SERIES; PART 1) 💙 Self love isn't selfish, it is necessary. - It is important to take care of yourself and accept yourself as you are. - Self love helps us in recognising our self worth. 💙 You can't please everyone and that is okay. - The pressure of seeking constant approval from others is unnecessary. - Not everyone will approve of your choices and that is perfectly fine. 💙 Authenticity is magnetic. Be true to yourself, even if it means standing alone. - Be you, you are unique! - When you stay true to yourself, you attract like minded individuals. - It's always better to stand alone than to compromise and fit in. 💙 Mental health is as important as physical health. - Just as you take care of your physical health by exercising and eating healthy, take care of your mental health by; > practicing meditation > expressing gratitude > focusing on positivity and > seeking professional help when needed. 💙 Your are worthy; even if someone else thinks you aren't. - In a world where everybody is constantly looking for others approval and validation, don't forget that you deserve love, respect and happiness regardless of what others think about you. - You are inherently worthy. There are two kinds of people in this world . . . (1) Don't like Sundays and can become anxious (2) Love Sundays and start getting excited about the week and they marry each other. Three things you can do on a Sunday to set yourself up: 1️⃣ Spend a little time planning your week. Tidy up and declutter. 2️⃣ Find activities that help you relax and alleviate any tension. Create a ritual. 3️⃣ Prioritise self-care. Nurture your physical, emotional and mental well-being. #haveawonderfulweek

Self-Love Matters We are living in a pressure cooker society where one can quickly land into the trap of worry, panic and doubt. Self- love has become an indispensable part of everyone’s life today. Self love is not just a hashtag of the trendy word that one hears from the self help gurus. This is a basic way in which we care for ourselves as it underpins our minds and wellness as whole. Appreciating who we are, loving our flaws, and having boundaries for preserving our mental health. Why Self-Love Matters Self-love also serves as an antibody to mental illnesses. When we realize how precious we are and that we have a price tag on us, it becomes unlikely that we slip in such things like depressing or hurting ourselves. Moreover, self-love promotes resilience. It gives us emotional strength to come back after the challenges we face in our lives and ensure that our attitude remains right even when things are difficult for us. How to Cultivate Self-Love - Practice Mindfulness - Do things that make you happy. - Speak kindly to yourself. - Set Healthy Boundaries However, you should bear in mind that the love of self is not at all self-centred or egotistical. It is knowing yourself, listening to yourself and paying attention to your physical and mental needs and demands. Its regarding giving yourself the same love and patience that you have given to another person. Agreed?
