We all carry a piece of the people we love with us after they're gone. In our conversation with Amy Lin, we discussed the weight of loss, leaning on others to cope, and using writing as therapy (along with an actual therapist, too). Listen now for free in the Book of the Month app. Thank you Zibby Owens, Diana Tramontano, Graça Tito, Katie Teas, Samantha Marks, Sarah Fradkin, Madeleine Letellier, Erinn McGrath, Kathleen Murray Harris, and Anne Messitte for joining us. 🌟 I am thrilled to announce the forthcoming release of my debut book!🌟 🌤HUILOUDERS (crying parents)🌤 A book with a title that speaks for itself to some and ignites the imagination of others. A book for everyone who considers it important to better understand and support a parent with a crying baby. A book that does not limit itself to crying babies but also questions the broader society. A book that is useful for parents with a crying baby but also for parents with a baby who does not cry excessively. In short: This is a book for every parent and every person with a parent in their environment that ensures... 💧You as a parent with a crying baby do not feel alone and receive the necessary tools to cope. 💧You as a family member, friend, colleague, or acquaintance gaan insight and tools to help. 💧You as a healthcare professional to be a practical, medical, and psychological companion for parents in need. For these who would like to reserve a book in advance... Feel free to send me an e-mail via [email protected]📧

In this episode, I’m going to be discussing how the recovery and healing process is no different than writing a book process is. Because when you write a book, the first thing you have to do is brainstorm, come up with a topic, then free style, Ak, a free write, then, edit, and then put it together. This process is no different than the healing and recovery process. It took me some time to figure it out. But I realize this a few years ago actually when I was trying to figure out how to go about dealing with my medical issues and weight loss issues. So I want to talk about this because I want people to understand that this is not an easy journey at all. Finding the right path that works for you to lead to your purpose is easier said than done. But it’s not about finding your journey, path, and purpose that you were meant to be on. It’s also about being able to stay on that path, journey, and purpose that you were meant to be on.

Gathering the dots of ‘place-based strategies’ is a lofty pursuit -and connecting these dots to successful outcomes for children and their care-givers is the courageous move at the root of what we must value (behaviours) and change.
A new piece on our website written by the Center's first Writer in Residence, Himali Bhatt, MD, MA, MPH, explores one example of how community-informed, place-based strategies can have a positive impact on young children and their caregivers. Check it out here: https://bit.ly/3QLSOqS
