In a world where customers and partners have plenty of alternatives with whom they do business with, organizations need to understand what motivates the customer or partner to do business with them. This entails: * Having a clear picture of who the customer and partner is * Gaining real insight into the tangible and intangible experiences and benefits the customer and / or partner gets from doing business with your organization There are plenty of competitors willing and able -- in fact trying-- to take customers from you, so why give customers and partners reasons to leave? For some organizations, it boils down to brand loyalty. For some organizations, brand loyalty is the culmination of a customer journey that builds trust and meets the customer's / partner's expectations.
