March is B Corp Month, and as a certified B Corp, we are deeply committed to our mission and constantly strive to improve our positive impact on our clients, colleagues, and communities. Last year, I had the opportunity to have an insightful conversation with John Sensiba of Sensiba LLP for a podcast hosted by the San Francisco Business Times. In this conversation, we explore what it means to be mission-driven firms and share our stories of becoming Certified B Corps. If you are considering becoming a B Corp or want to reduce your environmental impact, realize social objectives, or promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, listen in: https://lnkd.in/grzy2WXk #CorporateResponsibility #BCorpMonth #BCorp

Check out this great conversation with Ashley J. Davis, Esq. about having the courageous conversations we need in this moment!
Leadership Development, Mediation/Conflict Transformation, Organizational Change, Systems Thinking at Big Waves
Here is the third full episode of Ripples and Rumbles with Ashley J. Davis, Esq.! It's called If We Want More Equitable Workplaces, We Need to Build Our Conflict Skills. As an Ombuds at a university and a Mediator with a ton of experience, Ashley knows equity work inevitably involves conflict. She shared her experience intervening in equity-based conflict, and talked about the specific skills that can help us navigate and prevent the rapid escalation that can happen in these spaces. I particularly loved her take on how people want to build their conflict skills "after the fire has already started, which is not typically the best time to be learning how to be a great mediator." I couldn't agree more! 🔥 We really can get better at talking about difficult stuff, but start before there is a blaze! 💫 One more episode to post, and then I am putting together a short "Best of Ripples and Rumbles" video for people who want to get the highlights but don't have time to watch the full episodes. Sign up for the Big Waves newsletter (link in the comments below) to get that in your inbox in February. 👀 Thanks so much to Ashley for a very entertaining conversation! 🙏 https://lnkd.in/gKyHm5ju Louise Pitre Tania Cheng Tammy Mudge #dei #equitydiversityinclusion #conflict

Unlocking the true potential of your organization starts with compassionate leadership. As Bob Chapman shared with us, compassionate leaders aren't born, they're made - and it takes training leaders to care. I know this from my own experience. Starting business life as an engineer, I didn't come to the workplace with a host of people skills. I had to spend many hours developing them - through practice and self-reflection - in order to become an effective people leader. Jeffrey Hayzlett Tricia Benn I think this is my favorite Stroke TV Media Core Value. Servant Leadership At the heart of our organization is the core value of servant leadership. We believe that true leadership is not about power or authority but rather about serving others selflessly and with humility. As servant leaders, we prioritize the needs of our team members, customers, and communities above our own, seeking to empower, support, and uplift those around us. By leading with empathy, compassion, and a commitment to making a positive difference, we create a culture of trust, collaboration, and growth where everyone thrives. Servant leadership guides our actions, decisions, and relationships, driving us to lead with integrity, empathy, and a relentless focus on the well-being and success of others.
