I'm thrilled to share the blog post on a video quality analysis solution that I co-authored with my esteemed colleague Punyabrota Dasgupta This blog post describes an event-driven serverless system for evaluating video quality on a per-frame basis. The system leverages cloud services and functions to analyze each frame of a video file as it is encoded or processed. Key video quality metrics like peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR), structural similarity index (SSIM), and perceptual video quality score (VMAF) are measured for each frame. These metrics allow for granular analysis of video quality issues and insights into where and how quality degrades over the course of a video. The serverless approach provides automatic scaling to handle large video files efficiently.

https://lnkd.in/g7R55-DQ To continue the theme with some of past projects I've been working on, this project uses streams to process data. In this case, we are using gRPC streams and Amazon Transcribe. gRPC allows for a powerful bi-directional streaming. Here, we are going to stream an audio file from the local client to a gRPC server. That server can be run either locally or hosted in Fargate. Once the stream is delivered to the gRPC server, it is then sent to Amazon Transcribe for processing. The results that are returned from Transcribe are then returned to the client allowing for a simple and fast method processing audio with AI/ML services like Amazon Transcribe.
