Its hard to admit this, especially on Mother’s Day but… …motherhood has been the most challenging experience of my life so far. Every definition I had for “hard” or “grit” or “determination” got redefined in the last two & half years and keeps expanding as time goes by. And even though I became a mother when my daughter was born, it took another year for me to feel like I am a functional mother and another year for me to feel like a good mother. Today - as I reflect on this experience - I want to celebrate everyone around me who surrounded me with love, patience and compassion as I learned how to become a good mom on my own terms with my daughter leading the pack and teaching me every day what real unconditional love feels like. Happy Mother’s Day ❤️

Well said Anda G. we don’t discuss this much or at least not enough as a culture - but it is such a beautiful truth, and my experience raising to humans it all comes down to an evolving and hopefully conscious practice of continuous surrender to what the moment precisely needs - for her and for you and those around you.
Nearly 10 years later, I am sometimes still surprised that I’m allowed to take care of this remarkable being! Imposter syndrome isn’t isolated to the boardroom. I’ve learned is that there isn’t a single right way to do tackle parenting. And making mistakes is part of the journey. Allowing ourselves grace was one of the hardest, but most important, lessons.
You are amazing keep going. Motherhood is the hardest job of all, harder the building a career or succeeding in life. Happy Mother’s Day!

Not all mothers feel the sane towards their child, not all women feel the sane intensity of love, not all women face the sane challenges and not all women have the same set of circumstances. And yet, there is this deified version of motherhood which all moms are supposed to live up to. Nope. It’s your definition that serves YOU well. You are the best mom based on what you define it as.
