Day 03: Unlocking the Potential of HTTP Callouts 🔗 Hi there! Welcome to another exciting day of our "#SalesforceFlow with #HTTPCallouts" series. Today, we're diving into the captivating world of #HTTPCallouts – the technology that bridges the gap between #Salesforce and the vast ocean of external systems, APIs, and services. 🌐 🤖 Think of #HTTPCallouts as messengers that carry requests and bring back information from other places on the internet. Imagine you're in a coffee shop, and you place an order. The barista sends your order to the kitchen, waits for it to be prepared, and then serves it to you. Similarly, in the digital realm, #HTTPCallouts help #Salesforce send requests to external systems, gather data, and bring it back to enhance your processes. For instance, let's say you have a new lead in Salesforce, and you want to gather additional details from #LinkedIn. With #HTTPCallouts, you can seamlessly fetch information from LinkedIn's #API and merge it with your lead's profile in #Salesforce. It's like giving your #Salesforce records a boost of extra context! 🚀🔗 Stay with me as we set sail on this journey through #HTTPCallouts. I'll explore their mechanics, understand how to configure them securely, and unravel the incredible ways they synergize with #SalesforceFlow.🌟🔗 #Salesforce #SalesforceFlow #HTTPCallouts #AutomationSeries #WayOfLearning #Learning #Sharing #AutomationBasics #Trailhead #Trailblazer

Kicksaw loves sending some of our team to Dreamforce each year to immerse themselves in all things Salesforce. It not only ensures that Kicksaw is up to date on the latest products and methodologies, but it allows for individual professional development and networking for our team members. Plus, it’s fun. This year, we sent a crew of 12 people from Sales, Project Management, Solution Architecture, Administration, and Marketing. We attended keynotes, hosted Happy Hours, met with clients, hosted presentation sessions, got hands-on with new products, and made more of those all-important connections in the #Salesforce #TrailblazerCommunity. Billed as the world’s largest AI event, Dreamforce 2023 wove in the application of Artificial Intelligence tools throughout the conference offerings. The shift in how we will approach work with generative AI tools and prompt building was palpable. It wasn’t just about the tools and products though — while Salesforce did announce the Einstein 1 Platform, throughout the keynote and programming they emphasized the trust layer they are building in, as well the importance of data quality as a foundation. We loved hearing that. Our team also dove into Salesforce Well-Architected workshops and theater sessions, as well as sessions on flow updates, user management improvements, and Slack updates. We’ve got our AI wings on and are ready to fly, while staying grounded in the functional foundations of Salesforce that are proven to provide business value and automation improvements for our clients. If you missed #DF23 this year, you can check out keynotes and other Dreamforce content yourself on Salesforce+. And if you want to hear more from our team on what happened this year at Dreamforce, including a deeper dive into the various AI announcements, sign up for the Kicksaw monthly newsletter, which sends next week. ✳ Exploring Platform Events in Salesforce! ✳ Platform Events, a dynamic integration capability leveraging Streaming API, empower us to supercharge real-time data flow. Much like custom objects, we can craft them with custom fields—checkbox, date, datetime, number, text, and text area long. Also it has two special standard fields - "ReplayId" and "EventUuid". Subscribers can save a ReplayId value and use it later to catch up on missed events. EventUuid is like a unique ID for each event, and we can't change or overwrite it. KEY FEATURES: 1️⃣ Query Challenges: No SOQL or SOSL querying, keeping it streamlined. 2️⃣ No Associated Tab: Platform Events don't have an associated tab. 3️⃣ Immutable: Once published, there's no rolling back platform events. ❗ ❗ ❗ Remember, all the fields are initially read-only, and permissions are in your hands! #salesforce

🚀 Completed Day 28 of the 30-Day Salesforce Flow Challenge! 🎉 I'm thrilled to share that today marks the completion of the 28th day of the Salesforce Flow Challenge, and I'm excited to announce that I've earned yet another shiny badge - the "Screen Flow Distribution" badge! 🏅 This badge represents mastery in distributing flows outside of the Salesforce org, opening up a world of possibilities for process optimization and automation. This module encompassed five units, each offering valuable insights into the distribution of screen flows and their real-world applications. Let's dive into the key takeaways from each unit: 1️⃣ Get Started with Flow Distribution Before distributing a flow, understand pre-distribution considerations. Explore various distribution methods, such as Lightning pages, Flow actions, and more. Build a simple screen flow as a foundation for distribution. 2️⃣ Display a Flow on a Page in Your Salesforce Org Understand use cases for displaying flows on Lightning pages. Learn about different types of Lightning pages and how to add flows to them. Ensure the flow's accessibility and usability for internal users. 3️⃣ Add a Flow as an Action on a Record Explore scenarios where adding a flow as an action is beneficial. Create flow actions and integrate them into page layouts. Empower users to launch flows when needed, optimizing user experience. 4️⃣ Display a Flow on Every Page in Your Salesforce Org Discover use cases for displaying flows universally across an app. Utilize the Lightning utility bar to make flows accessible from any page. Ensure seamless flow access while considering user frequency and app navigation. 5️⃣ Display a Flow on a Page Outside Your Salesforce Org Explore the potential of displaying flows outside the Salesforce org. Learn how to add flows to Experience Builder pages for external users. Unlock opportunities for engaging experiences, such as surveys, registration forms, and more. Completing this module has not only expanded my skill set but also empowered me to drive efficiency and innovation within my organization. I'm grateful for the continuous support from the Salesforce community and excited to apply these learnings to real-world challenges! #SalesforceFlow #Trailblazer #ProcessAutomation #SalesforceOhana 🌟 Trailhead by Salesforce Trailhead

Unlocking Business Potential: Salesforce Certified Administrator & Double Star Ranger | Elevating Salesforce Solutions for Optimal Performance
🚀 Excited to share my recent #Flowfest journey! Yesterday, I dove into the v5 challenges, starting with Challenge 1. Task: build a screen flow displaying the top 10 accounts with open cases in a datatable. 💼 Normally, I'd tuck this into a report, linking it back to the account for users. But after completing the flow, I had an epiphany - why not keep users on the record page for seamless access? 🤔 The hurdle? Account and Case objects lack a master-detail relationship. Yet, with some creativity and leveraging collection filter and sort functionalities in #Salesforce flow, I cracked it! 💡 Here's to embracing challenges and finding innovative solutions! 💪 I also finally decided to go the manual way of building flows, the free-form way. #SalesforceOhana #Innovate #ProblemSolving

🚀Imagine you have a special bottle which always have water in it, like your school one. If someone else is drinking water from that bottle, so have to wait for them to finish then you can drink. 🎯Similar case in Salesforce, when any Batch or Future class is not executing we want our code else don't run it. 🎯This improves the System performance and helps to manage the resources in a better way. Here is the code snippet. 🤝 Join the Conversation: Have questions, insights, or success stories to share? Let's connect!
