9 years! If you had told me in June 2014 that this is what I'd be doing now, I wouldn't have believed it. A few among the (many, many) lessons learned over these last 9 years: ✔ You don't have to have it all figured out to get started! Take the first, small step and go from there. I took on one consulting project, then others, then started coaching as a contractor, then started to work with my own clients, then started running group programs, etc.. It will probably still feel terrifying at times (it definitely did for me!), but taking small steps rather than big leaps helps a lot. ✔ Your work has to evolve along with you. Being a business owner (or the owner of your #career!) requires navigating lots of uncertainty, making pivots, and staying grounded in what's most important to you - especially as that changes over time. Whether making shifts to our business model or prioritizing how I want to learn and grow, staying tuned in to where my energy and excitement are leading me has been the best north star. ✔ Your #network is everything. While I have missed being part of a larger team, I have gotten to create my own - both through our Careers for Social Impact team members and the larger network of amazing coach and entrepreneur colleagues I have built over the years. We all need a team to support us, even if we're not all working in the same place! Thanks to everyone who has helped us achieve this milestone, and cheers to a great year 10! 🥂 #socialimpact #entrepreneurship #careers
Happy birthday to us! Today we're celebrating 9 years in business. To all our clients, supporters, and team members over the years: THANK YOU for helping us reach this milestone.🎉 We're looking forward to a fantastic year 10 ahead!

I help IT/Cybersecurity teams find prospects! We create content that non-technical people can understand! Let’s map out a social media strategy that works for you! CEO @ Cyber Dana | CMMC RP, Cybersecurity, Marketing
CONGRATULATIONS! A huge shout out 🎉 to Steve Robert - CISSP, CGRC the CEO of Defense In Depth for achieving SOC2 certification. I have said it before and I will say it again. Your non-technical IT customers ASSUME that you are taking care of cybersecurity because your are taking care of their "COMPUTER". They do not separate IT and cybersecurity. I know that may sound silly to an IT expert but, it is true. The time has come for all organizations to take cybersecurity seriously. A lot of IT companies are intimidated or do not know how to go about "getting into cybersecurity". If you are an IT company that is looking to expand your customers' services into cybersecurity this tool is perfect. Performing cybersecurity risk assessments is not only a great benefit to your clients, it is a great way to add more money to your bottom line. You do not even need to go out and get any new customers! 😊 Take a minute and check it out. www.defenseindepth.io To read more about their latest accomplishment: https://lnkd.in/gRpGNRjk #cybersecurity #Cyberdana #cybersocial #CMMC #marketing

Marketing @ Aha Media Group | Lifelong Learner | Multi-passionate Fangirl | Playlist Maker | Catch Me Outside 🏕️
Celebrating 2 years of making the marketing magic happen at Aha Media Group 💖 People often ask me how I went from owning a coffee shop and bakery to healthcare marketing. A lot of the things I do in life are strategic. But most of them (often the best of them) just sort of naturally evolve from the people I meet and interests I pursue. Story time! I started growing my coffee business the year Facebook first allowed non-college students to join. There were no business accounts back then. I built a social media strategy around The SweetSpot having a personal profile. First name: The SweetSpot Last name: Coffee Shop Relationship status: It’s complicated I became obsessed with social media marketing. Growing followers 100x and revenue 10x over 10 years. When I graphed it out, the correlation was uncanny. A few years into that, I started teaching other small business owners how to use social media to build their brands. I wanted to know everything I could about social and local SEO so I could share it with others. So I gobbled up every resource I could. In 2016 I took a class on content marketing from Andy Crestodina and it opened my eyes to a world beyond local SEO and social. I have a tendency to go all in on something I’m interested in so … hello, new obsession! Content marketing! ✨ When I sold my business 4 years later, I knew I wanted to focus solely on marketing. After a couple of years working as a consultant across almost every industry you can imagine (no, seriously, I did everything from Pinterest marketing for Gulf Shores Tourism to web copy for industrial saw blade sharpeners), I wanted to find a role where I could learn more and focus on growing a brand. I reached back out to Andy, who is as generous with his time as he is with his expertise. He put me in touch with his marketing director, Amanda Gant, who met with me and said … “I know just the role for you”. A few days later I was interviewing with Ahava Leibtag and felt immediately and inexplicably “at home”. That feeling of just clicking into place. The next month, I had a new job. And my new obsessions are patient experience, health literacy, and AI in healthcare. … There’s a lot more to that story. Like how I was sitting by the pool in a campground in Palm Springs, CA when I met with Andy… Or how I did my Aha Media onboarding from the back of my RV as we drove through Oklahoma… But today I am focusing the power of: 1. Pursuing interests obsessively 2. Reaching out and building connections Both take a growth mindset and a little bit of bravery. And I would not be here today without them. … P.S. Big thanks to Andy and Amanda for your help in guiding me here.
We love any excuse to celebrate our team! Happy May Aha-versary to: 🎉 Lacey Reichwald, Marketing Manager (2 years) 🎉 Neelam Janardhan, Director of Business Operations and Finance (5 years) 🎉 Shelley Heinrichs, Senior Account Manager (5 years) 🎉 Kimberly Kelly, Vice President, Client Services (6 years) 🎉 Jena Triggs, Project Coordinator (9 years) 🎉 Jeannette Moninger, Senior Writer (10 years)
