Hi everyone, I have some very sad news today. My company has closed RIS News (Retail Info Systems) and eliminated my position of Editor in Chief with this shutdown.
I am #opentowork and would really appreciate your support (please like and share this post if possible!).
RIS News was around for decades and I was with the brand reporting #retailnews for 9 years. I had the amazing opportunity to get to know some of the most wonderful people in the #retailindustry , as well as work alongside some of the best in the business. I’m truly grateful for everyone I’ve met over the last decade and will always have a soft spot for #retailtech no matter where I end up (I’ll post a link in the comments for more on that).
As I prepare for new and exciting opportunities I want to thank you all in advance for any possible connections, opportunities, or general support you can offer.
A little about me:
I have a BA in #communications, with a specialization in #journalism and #creativewriting.
I’ve worked in B2B, Consumer, and Children’s publishing. I have covered #retail, #consumergoods, #technology, #privatelabel, #realestate, #childrensbooks, #food, and more.
I excel at creative problem solving, identifying trends and patterns, research writing, communication with high level executives and clients, and fast reporting.
I’m open to any opportunities, perhaps
in #publishing, retail, technology, books, communications, PR, or something new.
I am also available for freelance work (and have freelanced in the past) or #retailtech consulting.
I hope to see you all again in the future. Until then, I’ll post some of the great RIS memories below :)
