Do you have a plan? July is Disability Pride month. Take this as your cue to listen to, centre, and celebrate your disabled and Neurodivergent staff. It’s a great chance to examine how your organisation actively includes and supports disabled people. Are you actively ensuring your neurodivergent staff aren’t struggling? Are you confident that your organisation supports neurodiverse people, at every stage of employment? Focusing on your disability and Neurodiversity strategy is not about being shamed, or feeling guilty for ‘getting it wrong’. You don’t know what you don’t know. By listening to people who have been through the process, you will gain valuable insight and confidence that you will be able to make your processes as smooth for everyone as you can.
