Job Description:

This position will support our global marketing websites, focusing on user experience, SEO, market education, as well as website optimization & reporting. This role will work closely with our brand, demand generation, digital, partner, product, and technical teams as well as our core web team, ensuring the website continues to deliver high volumes of qualified leads to support our sales organization, effectively engages with prospects, and accurately and advantageously represents our brand. In addition will be responsible for driving conversion rate optimization, personalization, and AB/multivariate testing efforts for the organizations' website, landing pages and microsites.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports the overarching strategic vision (strategy, roadmap, and requirements) of all major web projects spanning design, development, and optimization.
  • Accountable for annual web roadmap planning and monthly sprint planning efforts that support the annual marketing strategies.
  • Drives the CRO process from beginning to end, including research, test idea intake, testing roadmap, hypothesis development, design and development, execution, reporting and analytics.
  • Rigorously applies analytics to track and manage performance, inform decisions on web site content, priorities and keen real-time understanding of asset consumption, traffic patterns that drive actions to improve conversion and remedy any shortfalls.
  • Works closely with the business owners/SMEs from each area within marketing to ensure we are collaborating in a way that allows us to deliver iterative and incremental changes to our site.
  • Develops scalable and sustainable web operations and project management, sets priorities, and effectively leverages available resources to drive business impacting results.
  • Facilitates the collaborative development of the website, overseeing the information architecture, usability, creative execution, and web metrics reporting activities.
  • Monitors website traffic and engagement using Google Analytics and use website data to create reports.
  • Develops annual roadmaps for leveraging optimization tools across the site like Optimizely, Chatbot, Automatic Schedules, etc. to help optimize lead capture.
  • Manages and optimizes landing pages, website calls-to-action (CTAs), Chat Bot playbooks, lead-generation forms, etc.
  • Collaborates with marketing team efforts to A/B test ad creatives, audiences, and landing pages.
  • Develops keen understanding of our buyers and their digital journeys and enable vertically and contextually optimized and personalized experiences.
  • Working with our vendors, generates mockups of web page designs, workflows, and personas to craft end-to-end simulations of the user experience.
  • Reports web performance metrics to communicate demonstrable impact of the organization's websites on the business through quarterly business reviews.
  • Tracks KPIs and UX metrics regularly with the intention of consistently improving the user experience as well as driving business results.
  • Continually experiments with new technologies, audiences, creative, and methods to increase website performance.
  • Facilitates workshops, listening sessions, or other interactive activities such as card sorts or tree testing.
  • Supports the evolution of the vision and strategy to scale of the organization’s web properties and increase web development and optimization velocity.
  • Drives wholistic, connected digital experience across Vertex’s web properties and deliver new digital capabilities and web functionalities.
  • Maintains and distributes all website related documentation and style guides.
  • Develops a deep level of understanding of the content structure across the content management system (CMS), and provide recommendations to improve consistency
  • Leads Information Architecture (IA) enhancement efforts that include improvements to taxonomy, sitemaps, and content structure.
  • Participates in projects and performs other duties as assigned.
  • Occasional business travel may be required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of design, UX, testing, and product management will be utilized to optimize website performance and in turn, maximize revenues.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using a conversion rate optimization process to markedly raise website performance.
  • Demonstrated mastery of SEO fundamentals and how they interplay with website technology, architecture, and content to deliver outstanding organic search performance.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, preferred.
  • Deep understanding of web analytics.
  • Ability to translate organizational goals into website objectives that can be measured
  • Background using tools such as, Invoca (Dialog Tech), GA Tag Manager, Crazy Egg, Optimize 360 A/B Testing, Personalization platforms, Smartling translation platform, Postmark, Clean Talk, Qualtrics for web interceptor/Usability screening, Qualified chat bot experiences, gather content content/workflow tool, etc.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate findings to executives; comfortable building effective business reviews that story tell with data.
  • Has phenomenal attention to detail and a passion for delivering the highest quality and error-free websites.
  • Has a strong track record of delivering work above expectations, on time, and on budget.
  • Solid experience in building audiences (contextual/behavioral/industry)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present analysis/insights to senior management.
  • Ability to analyze quantitative data (web metrics, revenue reporting, etc.) and qualitative data (surveys, screen recordings, etc.) to develop insights about the user.
  • Demonstrated experience running simultaneous personalized experiences.
  • Proven experience in managing website CMS enhancements and the end to end requirements, testing and documentation process.
  • Ability to improve performance via testing and experimentation.
  • Highly analytical and make decisions based on pattern recognition and data.
  • The ability to solicit and obtain customer feedback to improve the customer journey and fix pain points.
  • Lifelong student continuously expanding your knowledge of consumer psychology, web tech and tools, and analytical testing approaches.
  • A team player who is also comfortable working independently.


EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Six (6) plus years of experience in a User Experience, Conversion Specialist, or similar role.
  • Five (5) to Seven (7) years’ experience running a B2B corporate website for a high-growth tech company leveraging a CMS (Drupal preferred).
  • Experience managing a web/digital agency required.
  • Experience with SEO both technical and content.
  • B2B experience required.
  • Experience with agile development and PM methodologies required.
  • Strong project management experience, with often changing priorities and tight timelines.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
