Vice President of Sales and Alliances

The Vice President of Sales and Alliances plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and building strategic partnerships in the Salesforce ecosystem. This leadership position requires a dynamic and results-driven individual with a proven track record of success in sales leadership, alliance management, and business development within the Salesforce space.

Sales Leadership

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth, achieve sales targets, and expand market share in the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Lead and mentor the sales team, providing guidance, support, and coaching to drive performance excellence and foster a culture of accountability and achievement.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to drive customer acquisition, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Salesforce ecosystem, including enterprise accounts, industry verticals, and geographic markets.
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, leveraging market insights, customer feedback, and competitive analysis to identify and prioritize growth opportunities.
  • Drive the development of innovative solutions, services, and offerings that address customer needs and differentiate Demand Chain in the marketplace.

Alliance Management

  • Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships and alliances with Salesforce, ISVs, system integrators, and other ecosystem partners to drive mutual business success.
  • Develop detailed strategies to leverage the Salesforce ecosystem and programs, within budget.
  • Build awareness for the Demand Chain “brand” across key stakeholders at Salesforce, especially in the Field.
  • Make sure Demand Chain is a partner of choice in key verticals.
  • Identify opportunities for co-Marketing with Salesforce and other key partners, ISV’s, etc
  • Collaborate with alliance partners to identify joint opportunities, develop go-to-market strategies, and execute co-selling initiatives to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Negotiate and manage partnership agreements, joint marketing programs, and revenue-sharing arrangements to maximize the value of alliances for all parties involved.

Strategic Planning

  • Work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives, business plans, and sales strategies that align with Demand Chain's overall objectives and growth targets.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer feedback to inform strategic decision-making and adapt sales and alliance strategies accordingly.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators, sales metrics, and financial targets to measure progress and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth, building strategic partnerships, and exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
  • Experience managing and motivating a team of outbound and inbound sellers in the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Deep understanding of the Salesforce platform, ecosystem, and partner landscape, with strong relationships across Salesforce, ISVs, system integrators, and other key stakeholders
  • History of successfully developing and leading strategic partnerships
  • Must be comfortable with complexity and thinking on multiple levels of abstraction; demonstrates use of critical thinking techniques.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills
  • Ability to travel extensively to meet with Clients, Prospects, Salesforce and ISV contacts (and network) while working both independently and with a team.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, build consensus, and drive results in a cross-functional environment.
  • Highly motivated and independent contributor.
  • Business, Computer Science or Engineering Bachelor's degree (MBA degree is preferred)
