Voip Engineer
Randstad Federal is seeking a VOIP Engineer for a hybrid opportunity in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities for the VOIP Engineer:
- Operate, maintain, and perform sustaining engineering for telephone system infrastructure including basic services (operational configuration, engineering and maintenance of analog, digital telephone, and VoIP switching system); and corrective/preventative maintenance of telephone instruments and drops.
- Support existing and future VoIP requirements, including VoIP phones (including physical phones, softphones and WiFi phones), associated call processors, E911 services, and gateway systems.
- Supply VoIP services to on-site and off-site DOC entities which have supportable LAN services and have been approved by the COTR for VoIP services.
- Support the VoIP systems interfaces and provide required programming to facilitate connectivity.
Required Experience/Qualifications:
- Must possess a current, active government clearance of Secret or greater.
- Must have a CCNA
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience supporting VOIP and Video Teleconferencing infrastructures
- Experience as a remote worker demonstrating time management and self discipline
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, meet deadlines, and simultaneously develop, deploy, and coordinate multiple projects, demonstrable by work history.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
