Vice President Operations
- Sets the strategic direction and oversees major projects across the distribution center, such as distribution center layout changes, equipment and space needs and utilization, capital expenses, major repairs, etc.
- Provides strategic oversight and guides teams to identify, recommend and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and waste
- Monitors damage and rework within the distribution center, and directs the establishment and implementation of distribution center standards
- Drives continuous improvement culture and leads key initiatives throughout the DC
- Establishes a team of People Leaders who thoroughly understand the work, drives a culture that stops to fix problems, gets quality right the first time and systematically solves root cause problems
- Defines, monitors and measures outcomes from Distribution. Ensures consistent processes and standards across the DC. Corrects variances.
- Sets strategies for capital planning and expenditures by working with regional and corporate facilities
- Develops and implements strategy for distribution automation, including current best practices and sourcing additional automation opportunities
- Manages relationship with all customers
- With Human Resources, develops and implements training and development for distribution team members
- Works closely with Transportation to ensure overall goals are met
- Performs other duties as assigned
