VP of OMNICHANNEL STRATEGY & OPERATIONS


The VP of Omnichannel Strategy & Operations is responsible for developing and implementing inbound and outbound multichannel, multitouch digital-first omnichannel marketing strategy and implementation for clients across the organization.


The VP of Omnichannel Strategy & Operations will work cross-functionally with the new business, account teams, insights, analysis and planning and operations to develop and implement plans and recommendations around digital-first omnichannel marketing strategies and campaigns, including business analysis inputs, audience targeting and segmentation, channel mix and frequency, messaging, measurement, budgeting, and ROI estimation. This role will integrate customer journeys with digital, email, SMS, voice, and direct-marketing channels to drive client sales and a return on investment.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


Omnichannel Strategy

  • Serve as the preeminent source of knowledge and expertise in developing digital-first multi-channel, multi-touch digital, and direct marketing strategies to achieve clients’ sales goals.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Marketing Officer to identify and incorporate the latest digital marketing trends and technology into the linqd. digital services offering.
  • Lead the digital marketing team, including digital ad strategy, ad format strategy, ad platform strategy, campaign implementation and optimization, SEO, and social media ad strategy.
  • Lead omnichannel strategy integrating digital with email, SMS, voice and direct mail.
  • Support the development of new client business by working with the new business or account teams to understand the client’s business, identify omnichannel needs and build a business case solution that delivers the client’s business goal.
  • Lead the development of ROI assumptions for the digital portion of campaigns (based on client metric inputs and estimated channel response) and full ROI analysis for new client proposals.
  • Build linqd. digital standards, including a standardized audience strategy, a living analysis of running response rates by audience and channel/format, and a living deep digital capabilities presentation.

Act as the trusted advisor to the client in the following areas:

  • Definition of digital marketing strategy, including channels, testing strategies, messaging/offers, tactics, and frequency
  • Integration of emerging digital marketing approaches
  • Coordination of client-specific content (new or existing) into marketing tools
  • Identification of key metrics to measure program success and linqd.’s strategic contribution


Marketing Operations

  • Manage successful omnichannel implementation and operations across all clients, channels, and platforms (CDP, digital, email, SMS, voice, direct mail) working to deliver client goals and ROI metrics.
  • Work with marketing operations team to develop an agile and quick implementation process across the company tech stack.
  • Work cross-functionally with insights, analysis and planning and product management to integrate digital and all other channels in the CDP for campaign execution and report in Tableau dashboards.
  • Guide team to support periodic results meetings and Quarterly Business Reviews, looking to leverage insights into appropriate program changes via expansion, introducing new strategies and tactics.
  • Work cross-functionally with GTM operations to manage client campaign pricing inputs following the company processes.
  • Must maintain and keep the confidentiality of all customers, clients, and company information in accordance with the confidentiality agreement signed at the commencement of employment with linqd.

Leadership

  • Collaborate with the Chief Marketing Officer to identify and maintain a digital and marketing operations team that meets the needs of the linqd. clients and satisfies the linqd. brand promise.
  • Hire, retain, coach, and manage the linqd. digital strategy and operations team.
  • Conduct ongoing performance coaching sessions to understand job expectations and goals and document performance concern areas.
  • Upholds the Company’s Open-Door policy by meeting with employees, listening to concerns, and providing resolutions.
  • Responsible for direct reports evaluations, following company guidelines.
  • Perform as a mentor, conduct training, and create employee development plans to ensure a long-term succession plan and growth are in place.
  • Ensure the digital and marketing operations team follows all client, billing, onboarding and other company processes.
  • Utilize business intuition and experience to anticipate client and industry marketing concerns and proactively address them.
  • Serve as an internal omnichannel and marketing operations expert, maintaining a broad knowledge of marketing industry developments and innovations and introducing them to linqd.as warranted.


Core Competencies & Experience:

  • At least eight to ten years of experience in an omnichannel, digital or data-centric direct marketing function or direct experience working in an Agency, Consultancy, or marketing role in a B2B or B2B2C company.
  • At least eight years of experience driving customer program assumptions and ROI analysis.
  • Extensive knowledge of multi-channel, multi-touch digital, and omnichannel strategies.
  • Strategic problem-solving abilities and expertise in the interpretation of customer needs and requirements.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, leadership by example.
  • Personal and team organizational, project-management, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a cool outlook. Thriving in an environment that never stops is a must.
  • A personable and professional character that will allow you to build client rapport.


Education Requirements:

BS/BA degree (Marketing, Business, Communications, or related fields preferred), MBA preferred
