The Vice President of Policy and Government Relations will play a critical role in shaping and advancing CleanSpark's policy agenda and governmental interactions. This senior position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that align with CleanSpark's business objectives and sustainability commitments, particularly in the context of regulatory and policy environments affecting Bitcoin mining and energy sectors.

Compensation commensurate with experience. Position expected to start at no less than $200k.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive government relations strategy that supports CleanSpark's objectives in the Bitcoin mining industry
  • Engage with federal, state, and local officials and agencies to advocate on policy issues relevant to CleanSpark's business operations and sustainability goals
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments that could impact the company, providing strategic advice to senior leadership on potential responses or actions
  • Build and maintain relationships with key policymakers, government agencies, industry associations, and advocacy groups to promote and support favorable policy outcomes
  • Represent CleanSpark in various forums, including conferences, panels, and public hearings, serving as a spokesperson on policy-related matters
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, marketing, and public relations, to ensure a consistent and effective message across all channels and engagements
  • Prepare briefing materials, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders on policy and regulatory issues
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in government relations or policy advocacy, with a strong preference for expertise in energy policy, technology, or related fields
  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Law, or related fields; a Master’s degree or higher is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and achieve policy goals
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to serve as a company spokesperson on sensitive issues
  • Proven track record of building relationships with government officials, industry leaders, and policymakers
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with an aptitude for problem-solving and decision-making
  • Travel Required
