Thriving specialty infusion pharmacy organization seeking to hire Vice President of Patient Services for their growing multi-state business.


The individual in this role plays an integral role in the success and growth of the organization. This is an exciting and challenging role, leading a team of professionals, providing oversight for day-to-day operations, implementing strategic initiatives, and ensuring personal and professional development of the operating team.


We are seeking a senior level professional with Patient Services, Infusion, and Specialty experience as well as expertise in business process improvement methodologies, a passion for creating a strong culture of continuous learning, and a keen financial acumen. The candidate must exhibit excellent leadership abilities with a strong will to make a positive difference in the lives of others.


In addition to general supervision of operations, this person will provide strategic leadership and vision to the operations team and work collaboratively with team members, other areas of the business, patients, providers, and clients, both external and internal.


MAJOR FOCUS:

  • Collaborate with internal/external business partners using a consultative approach to identify business goals and performance gaps (e.g., leadership, human capital, external customers).
  • Build an organizational culture in which passion for continuous learning and improvement is innate
  • Shape and develop division strategy and organization
  • Collaborate with COO on planning, resource allocation and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead Department Managers in achievement of quality and performance goals.
  • Ensure adherence to annual operating plans, organizational initiatives, and budgets.
  • Quality performance evaluation and improvement
  • Develop operational goals for each team which are aggressive, yet obtainable, and tied to long-term goals of the company.
  • Provide for the establishment and implementation of patient care standards including policies and procedures that meet national, state, and local rules and regulations as well as voluntary accreditation standards.
  • Participate in the evaluation, selection, and integration of health care technology and information management systems that support patient needs and the efficient utilization of patient care resources.
  • Provide for the development and management of operating and capital budgets for patient care areas; responsible for overall performance according to budget.
  • Provide employees with specific, timely, and constructive feedback including meaningful and annual performance appraisals.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, management, or related field.
  • 7+ years or more post-graduate experience in patient services, preferably specialty pharmacy infusion.
  • Extensive experience in supervising large staff and budgets; strong financial acumen.
  • Proven record of meeting and exceeding operations labor budget expectations.
  • Demonstrated skills and expertise with integration and implementation of new pharmacy systems and software.
  • Proven savings record via system enhancement and process reengineering and improvement.
  • Agile methodology and system development.
  • Six Sigma and Process Improvement experience (CMI, Kaizen) with proven track record.
  • Experience interfacing with different practice, regulatory and compliance bodies (ACHC, CMS, URAC).
  • Ability to work effectively, collaborate, and work across business streams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all organizational levels.
