THE ROLE:

As a Vice President at MMC, you and your team of outstanding colleagues are responsible for scientific communications and broad-reaching and diverse healthcare campaigns. In this role, your experience with program delivery will drive integrated health campaign development and execution for a global biopharmaceutical company. This opportunity provides a very wide range of experiences and touches nearly all facets of healthcare communications, including strategic ideation, client leadership, data/regulatory milestones, celebrity and influencer engagement, partnerships, media relations, digital oversight, creative execution, project management and much more.


YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Serve as a day-to-day lead on US business with dual client leads
  • Drive execution of creative and strategic unbranded and branded programming, as well as data/regulatory milestones – working hand-in-hand with a broad team of specialists from strategy, earned media, digital, science writing, creative and project management
  • Drive flawless execution across a range of team members, mentoring junior team members
  • Contribute ideas internally and with clients throughout the programming process and in client presentations
  • Lead program development and play a key role in client presentation meetings
  • Approve key client reports, appropriate correspondence, and press materials
  • Counsel clients on strategic direction of program/account
  • Help manage account budget and conduct client budget conversations
  • Assign team target hours for billability and profitability, effectively managing programs and ensuring efficiency
  • Continually seek to evolve your knowledge of your specialty, client’s business and competitors, vertical industry, media landscape, and emerging trends in consumer behavior


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • 8+ years of brand management experience; communications agency experience a plus
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience and the ability to lead and manage integrated marketing work teams
  • Knowledge of healthcare marketing and communications
  • Understanding of FDA rules and regulations
  • Proven track record in client service, strategy development and execution, creativity, new business pitches/presentations
  • Creative, entrepreneurial drive; ability to plan strategically
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; strong presentation skills
  • Strong presence, ability to manage diverse personalities
  • Knowledge of budgeting
  • Ability to generate revenue producing initiatives, new business and organic growth
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field

The anticipated salary range for this position is ($119,000- $180,000). Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
