Position Summary

Gottlieb, Rackman & Reisman is seeking a trademark associate with 3 to 6 years of law firm experience.

The ideal candidate should be well-versed in U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution practice, including:

• Prosecution experience including conducting and/or reviewing clearance searches and providing advice to clients on adoption of trademarks and preparing substantive responses to USPTO office actions.
• Preparing and responding to cease and desist letters and handling other enforcement matters, including domain name disputes, UDRP actions, TTAB proceedings, and matters related to the use of trademarks and social media platforms.
• Federal court practice a plus.

The candidate should be a creative and motivated attorney with strong legal writing, research and analytical skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills.  

Familiarity with U.S. and foreign patent practice, including, but not limited to, drafting patent applications, conducting patent diligence, and preparing office action responses a plus. 

Candidates must have a J.D. from an accredited law school and have an active membership in the bar of at least one U.S. state (New York a plus).
