Tech Lead - Java

About this Role

Agility Partners is seeking qualified applicants to fill an open Tech Lead position for a Healthcare company that drives better health outcomes by uniting technology and clinical relationships through a connected healthcare network.

• Be responsible for technical configuration, design, administration, development, implementation and support of application and information frameworks that Commercial Technology products utilize. Anticipate, plan and deliver IT solutions and strategy which enable business value.
• Monitor and manage proactive maintenance to application platform environments; Applies advanced knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of tasks and projects.
• Lead and participate in the development of policies and procedures.
• Ensure our technology and functional processes abide by architectural and security standards.
• Lead the team in large Product enhancements and initiatives.
• Develop innovative technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
• Maintain a solid understanding of up and downstream impacts when implementing solutions.
• Lead the team in system diagramming and documentation.
• Manage relationships with other technical teams and vendors.
• Act as a mentor to colleagues.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate would bring the following:

• 6+ years of experience working as a Java full stack or backend software engineer
• Prior experience leading a team
• Highly motivated, self-learner, and technically inquisitive
• You are a creator with a desire to develop products that positively impact lives
• You have hands-on experience across the entire technology stack
• You enjoy mentoring others and working in both the business and the code
• Must be local to Columbus and willing to work onsite 3 days per week (M/T/Th)
• You have the ability to bridge the gap between Architecture and Engineering; You are able to see the big picture and provide thought leadership
• Knowledge of Agile practices/tools, including TDD and paired programming
• Provides a positive impact on team: influences team decisions, mentors peers, drives innovation
