Position Summary

We are seeking a pioneering Talent Management Director for a highly strategic, full-time role helping our leading business consulting company expand its presence in the San Francisco metropolitan area and other key Western markets. As our talent ambassador for the West Region, you’ll be responsible for building and owning a talent pipeline of highly skilled consultants who work with us on a variety of financial, operational and technology engagements in a project or interim capacity.

This role requires a strategic mindset, exceptional interpersonal skills and a passion for building strong relationships. The successful candidate will also possess the depth of experience, confidence and network to play an integral business development and leadership role. This position offers great opportunity for personal and professional growth, creativity and collaboration as you help lay the foundation for our regional expansion.

Experience working in and/or recruiting professionals in the following areas is preferred: technology, accounting and finance, business operations and healthcare. Experience in a Big 4 or similar environment is highly desirable, but not required.

Travel Requirements

Some travel (<25%) is required both regionally and nationally to meet with clients and attend company meetings, conferences, seminars, job fairs, campus recruiting and other business events.

Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

This position will be responsible for identifying and engaging top-tier consultants, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, and ensuring the success of our consulting projects. Other skills and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop a dependable pool and robust pipeline of top-tier professionals who can help us execute projects in our primary service areas: Accounting and Finance Operations Support, Business Operations Support, Business Transformation, Data Solutions, Technology Enablement, Transaction and Regulatory Advisory Services, and Governance, Risk and Compliance
  • Devise and implement strategies to enhance engagement with our consultant community; nurture relationships with and perform regular outreach to current and prospective consultants
  • Work closely with West Coast leadership and sales teams to develop a comprehensive understanding of the market; strategize to identify creative solutions to talent acquisition challenges and other obstacles
  • Interact with the Talent Acquisition team to match consultants with suitable projects based on their skills, experience and project needs
  • Stay informed and provide insights into industry and recruiting trends and competitor activities specific to the metropolitan San Francisco area and other key Western markets
  • Promote the selling points of working for SolomonEdwards and have a strong understanding of the qualities that make a successful consultant

Project Management

This role requires strong organizational and project management skills. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Participate in all West Region functions for Talent Acquisition activities
  • Assist Talent Acquisition directors with consultant profile development and customization
  • Support and oversee end-of-engagement documentation and debriefings to collect, score and track project outcomes
  • Lead virtual and onsite event planning for consulting talent as scheduled
  • Track initiatives and generate regular reports for management and stakeholders with status updates, dependencies and issues identified
  • Define and monitor quality standards for account requirements and implement quality control and continuous improvement processes

Cross-Functional Collaboration

This role collaborates closely with sales, client delivery teams and resource management to:

  • Ensure quality service delivery
  • Align our sales efforts with our capabilities
  • Provide valuable input on product and service development based on client feedback and market trends

Position Requirements

Education Required:

Bachelor’s degree

Experience Required:

10+ years of recruiting in a professional services or consulting organization. Prior experience identifying and recruiting professionals in one or more of these areas: accounting and finance, technology, healthcare and operational business roles.

Experience Preferred:

Experience in a Big 4 or similar client-delivery role is highly desirable.

Salary range $150,000-200,000 W2. Plus, per diem and expenses paid, as well as incentive compensation. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
