Description
The Talent Acquisition Partner is an integral role within the Human Resources team and will deliver full life-cycle recruiting. To be successful in this role, the incumbent should be able to take ownership, develop long-term recruiting strategies, and nurture trusting relationships with managers, colleagues and potential hires. Ultimately, this position will create strong internal and external talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
This is a remote role. Our HR team meets quarterly in-person at our St. Albans, VT headquarters, and we would prefer the incumbent be within travel distance, if possible.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in implementing and maintaining a corporate recruiting plan to support our diverse functional and operational units distributed throughout the United States and Canada
In partnership with hiring managers, oversee recruiting activities, demonstrating the ability to make sound decisions that will improve the overall recruiting experience for candidates and hiring managers
With the assistance of Management, create and maintain job descriptions for open positions
Coordinate with hiring manager(s) to determine best recruiting process for open position(s)
Understand when a market and/or role require less passive recruiting techniques and knows how to effectively network and promote Deringer to the appropriate audience
Appreciates the importance of recruiting within diverse communities and is comfortable identifying new means of promoting Deringer to a broad spectrum of applicants
Act as liaison and partner with local and distributed employment/staffing agencies
Screen applicants for open positions to determine best fit for company
Appreciates and understands how to convey Deringer’s unique and special culture to incumbents
Can aptly market a full benefits package to desirable candidates with depth beyond wage alone
Oversee proper completion of background and reference checks
Prepare job offer letter and extend verbal and written contingent job offers, in coordination with hiring managers
Partner with hiring managers and the Learning and Development team to assign new colleague onboarding, including new colleague initial training plan
Delivers day one onboarding to new colleagues, following initial session with our technical team
Completes necessary reporting to update stakeholders on recruiting progress and key metrics
Performs exit interviews with terminating colleagues and prepares feedback documentation
Conducts feedback sessions with hiring managers at a regular cadence to ensure candidates hired were the right match; course correct hiring tactics when feedback demonstrates a need
Coordinates and manages special projects as assigned
Education And Experience
Associates degree with three years of HR/Recruiting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. HR certification preferred, but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Proficient in Microsoft office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Accurate data entry skills. Working knowledge of HRIS/ATS software. High proficiency with recruiting avenues via social media. Enthusiasm for promoting the value of Deringer’s culture and benefits to candidates.
