The role:

The Supply Chain Analyst on the External Manufacturing team will be a key member of the organization assisting with the directing and managing of production operations of Alani’s RTD, RTE and Sports Nutrition external manufacturers. Total SKUs across these product lines exceeds 100 with annual spend on pace to be over $100M for 2023.

This role is highly collaborative as it will partner with third-party manufacturers, raw material suppliers, and internal stake holders across all departments. The external manufacturing team will be responsible for meeting performance metrics in quality, cost management, inventory availability, and turnover.

Key responsibilities:

  • Participate as a key member of the team to ensure the supply chain is capable of meeting sales forecast while managing financial metrics.
  • Focus on strategic decision making in demand planning, replenishment, logistics, and nationwide distribution structure.
  • Assess current supply chains and make recommendations on how to optimize these in the future to take advantage of efficiency factors and deliver significant cost advantages to Congo Brands
  • Translate forecast into supply requirements to ensure proper inventory levels.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative Inventory, Forecast, Sales, Logistics, and Financial data.
  • Ensure the appropriate use of analytical tools so that analysis and reporting is accurate, timely, and complete.
  • Communicate daily with internal stakeholders ensuring everyone has a full understanding of production timing.
  • Act as a liaison between the specialized departments within and outside the supply chain organization; will work cross-functionally to develop strategic planning with a holistic approach to future business needs.
  • Applies advanced analytical methods and tools to develop and compute measurements on key performance throughout the Supply Chain
  • Prepares, designs, and manages tabular reports, list reports, scorecards, and dashboards.
  • Coordinate and track monthly production schedules at various Co-manufacturers and Re-packers.
  • Partner with functional managers in Supply Chain Management to understand the current and future business requirements; identify and implement process and organizational improvements.
  • Play a key role in relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Project management of Innovation and Brand change initiatives.
  • Generate, send, and track purchase orders/work orders.
  • Provide analytical feedback related to manufacturing cost, timing, and inventory levels.
  • Design, test, recommend and implement efficient processes to manage workflow and Supply Chain.
  • Optimization of existing processes and resources with clear goals and benchmarks of improvement, development, and management of sound business practices and efficient processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Key skills and experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering
  • 1+ years of working in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred Industries: Food and Beverage, Food production, Wine and Spirits, Dairy or Nutraceuticals
  • 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain functions Supply chain management, vendor relations and production planning or related job
  • 1+ years of Project Management experience at a CPG company or other related industry.
  • 1+ years of ERP experience (Preferably SAP S/4HANA, Netsuit)
  • Create excel models and routine level reports.
  • Responsible for data and report accuracy and expected to find errors in data; investigate and develop robust controls to mitigate future errors.
  • Responsible for improving current processes.
  • Excellent collaborator and relationship builder; internal and external.
  • Excellent planning, root cause analysis/problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Has a demonstrated passion that align with the core values of Alani Nu.
