Position Overview

Daily Harvest is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our Sourcing team who is passionate about changing the food system and changing how people eat. We are looking for someone who is a critical thinker, process-oriented, adaptable, and enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams. The Sourcing Manager will invest in supplier relationships, have a deep understanding of a range of commodities and ingredients, set up annual contracts, and manage our master data in NetSuite. The Sourcing Manager will support ongoing operations and new product launches. This position will work closely with the Sourcing, Quality, and Innovation teams to ensure all information is available in a timely manner so that the finished product will be produced on time and new product launches will be successfully executed. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will report directly to the Director of Strategic Sourcing.

What you’ll do:

• Own the day to day management and development of the ingredient & packaging categories
• Contract annual needs for your ingredients and spec
• Negotiate upcoming contracts
• Review annual needs through NetSuite to prepare ongoing contracts
• Manage bid process for current suppliers and potential new suppliers & build proposals for swaps or value chain supplier changes
• Request and review monthly inventory from partners to avoid stock outs or production related delays
• Articulate floor stock demands with each supplier for rolling 3M basis
• Escalate and communicate any ingredient or contract delays with Planning team
• Partner with the Director of Strategic Sourcing to build the annual budget and identify cost savings opportunities and upcoming market movements or risks
• Develop short and long term strategy for each ingredient and supplier
• Issue accurate projections to suppliers on a monthly basis
• Collect Monthly Inventory & Record Monthly Transactions in Netsuite to support contract depletion
• Collaborate with Business Operations Lead to socialize business systems need including by not limited to: NetSuite functionally and reporting, supply chain efficiencies, etc
• Work with FSQA to onboard new ingredients through internal systems and coordinate between suppliers and Daily Harvest FSQA to resolve any issues
• Support Purchasing Analyst with placing POs for manufacturing partners when needed; support entire supply chain and accounting reconciliation process from PO to EOM close
• Support Accounting and Finance teams to close month end books on time and accurately. Ensure timely entering of all IRs, POs
• Approve Invoices in Bill.com

Who you are:

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Operations, Industrial Engineering, Accounting or Finance is preferred or equivalent experience
• 5+ years experience in food manufacturing, preferably in supply chain or operations
• Advanced proficiency in analytical skills using Excel and data management tools
• Strong planning and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize and plan work activities with minimal supervision. Uses time efficiently
• Proficiency in ERP systems
• Excellent verbal and written communications and oral presentation skills
• Ability to communicate clearly (written and verbal) and in an engaging manner with colleagues of various levels of experience and management
• Highly adaptable and flexible. Able to manage competing demands, deal with frequent change and unexpected events
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in work
• Bias for action and drive to produce results
• Highly effective ability to collaborate, negotiate, influence and network with a wide range of diverse groups, including senior leadership, management, and vendors
• High level proficiency in computer applications and systems including Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

The anticipated annual base salary range for this role is $75,000 - $125,000. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skills.
