Position Title: Statewide Operations Director

Reporting Structure: Reports to company leadership

Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position is $66,000 to $90,000, depending on experience and skill sets

Job Classification: Full-time, non-exempt

Schedule: Full-time (40 or more hours per week, and can reach 70+ hours at peak times)

Location: Remote

Benefits: Longhorn offers all full-time employees who remain with our team for more than three months full health care, dental, and vision benefits. Any job-related travel, lodging, and other expenses are paid for by Longhorn.

Position Summary

Longhorn Organizing Strategies is seeking talented, driven individuals for the role of Statewide Operations Director, who will be responsible for overseeing the operations of canvassing, voter registration, and relational organizing projects throughout Texas.

The Statewide Operations Director will work with project and firm leadership to manage the administrative, operational, human resources, and supply needs of programs across Texas. This role is remote, though applicants must be physically located within Texas and should expect to travel frequently throughout the state.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily and long-term project operations needs, including multiple offices located throughout the state.
  • Manage a team of regional, in-office Operations Associates.
  • Work with the Statewide Program Director and the Longhorn to implement and maintain robust human resources and operations processes for the program.
  • Work with HR providers to manage project-specific payroll records for all employees through the Paycom platform.
  • Ensure an efficient allocation of supplies and resources throughout programs

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of management, operations or administrative experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a growing and complex organization's operational needs
  • Ability and willingness to work a demanding schedule, which can reach 70+ hours per week at peak times and can be expected to include evenings and weekends
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Highly detail-oriented and able to manage multiple processes simultaneously
  • Ability to think and act creatively and flexibly in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment
  • Must possess a cell phone, laptop, and reliable internet connection.
  • Must have ready access to personal transportation and will be required to provide proof of driver’s insurance.
  • Must be able to travel and/or relocate to project locations across the state on short notice; travel, lodging, and other related expenses are provided by Longhorn.
