Responsibilities
GEC is seeking a full time Sr. Scientist/Geologist. Primary responsibilities will be to prepare proposals and work scopes and perform Phase I & II ESAs and Contamination Screening Evaluation Reports.
Qualifications
5-15 years experience.
Bachelor’s Degree or higher with a focus in Geology, Environmental Science or related field.
Team player who professionally interacts with clients and coworkers.
Proven project management capabilities.
Technical writing skills.
Attention to details.
Sufficient experience and understanding of FDEP regulations to prepare project scopes, proposals, fees, and technical reports.
Comprehend site and roadway plans, aerial photographs, construction drawings, maps, etc.
Willingness to perform field/site reconnaissance in all field conditions.
Soil and groundwater sampling experience with knowledge of SOPs.
Ability to perform field work and sampling in heat, thick vegetation, and uneven terrain if necessary.
QA/QC review proposals and reports prepared by others.
Able to work from a remote office one day a week or bi-weekly.
Must be able to work weekends and extended hours as necessary.
Must pass background screening, motor vehicle check, and drug testing.
