OVERVIEW: The Sr. Corporate Development Analyst is responsible for assisting the Corporate Development team in identifying and executing on strategic acquisitions, equity investments, joint ventures, and other strategic relationships to help the company acquire assets, invest in companies and obtain relationships to grow the revenue and profitability of the company. This role is central to the functioning of our team and provides crucial insight into the financial performance of our portfolio investments. The Senior Analyst will work closely with all team members to provide financial analysis and modeling as needed to support decision making and performance tracking. SCOPE: This exempt position reports to Chief Development Officer and/or their designee.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following, other duties may be assigned to meet business needs:

  1. Financial Analysis & Modeling: Analyze financial statements, applying your knowledge of financial principles and investment strategies to evaluate profitability. Leverage advanced data analysis skills and investment strategies in proactively compiling financial models through valuation and financial return analyses. Develop financial rationale, including pro forma combination models, accretion/dilution analysis, views of transaction synergies, and various analyses including, at times, discounted cash flows.

Financial Tracking: Assist in monitoring and tracking acquisition performance, identifying trends, and report any inconsistencies or issues relative to expectations.

  1. Investment Support: Develop clear and concise presentations for an executive audience outlining the investment opportunity, including its strategic fit, financial return, risk and profile.
  2. Due Diligence Support: Actively participate in the completion of due diligence activities, including managing multiple projects request lists and other tasks.
  3. Pipeline Management: Monitor and track the universe of potential strategic investments, continuously keeping the pipeline updated.

Collaboration: Work directly with key internal and external company stakeholders; fostering strong relationships to ensure models are up to date and with the appropriate assumptions to reflect potential forecasts and expected returns.



QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial and positive attitude.
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Self-starter that adapts well to change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.


EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

  • Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Experience in corporate development, investment banking, or private equity is preferred
