The City of Morro Bay Recreation Services Division is seeking an enthusiastic Sports and Events Coordinator to join our dynamic team.

The City of Morro Bay Recreation Services Division offers sports programing for, basketball, soccer, flag football, softball, and futsal as well as several City Special Events. We are currently looking for a coordinator to assist with our youth and adult sports programs and special events.

Duties: Duties include all aspects of program management of sports programs including but not limited to registration, team formation, scheduling of games and staff, working with volunteer coaches and volunteer boards, end of season awards, tournaments, fundraising, equipment, and field management. Special Events duties include all aspects of event management.

Salary: Step 1 Step 2 Step 3

$20.42/hr $20.93/hr $21.44/hr

Qualifications: Knowledge of sports programs a must. Previous experience as an athlete, coach, and/or referee preferred. First Aid/CPR certification preferred.

Hours/Scheduling: The Recreation Services Division seeks committed persons interested in working 20-30 hours per week. Must be available during program hours - afternoons, evenings, and weekends
