Software Quality Assurance Lead

We are seeking a remote-based, bar-raising QA Lead to build and execute software quality assurance programs for AlaraImaging. As a Lead, you are expected to create a culture of quality excellence. You will report to Alara’s CTO and work closely with our engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Build and launch Alara’s quality assurance testing function, including infrastructure, tools, processes, and practices
• Recruit, train, coach, and manage a QA Engineer direct report
• Own and ensure processes and frameworks in SDLC meet highest quality standards
• Develop, actively maintain, and proactively improve automated testing frameworks in Python and JavaScript, emphasizing secure testing of web and backend applications.
• Develop, execute, and document test plans with a strong emphasis on E2E and UA testing in Python and JavaScript
• Collaborate closely with the security, product, clinical, and engineering teams to perform comprehensive web and backend applications testing that addresses evolving product needs
• Prioritize and manage bug reports, maintaining effective communication and documentation
• Elevate Alara Quality Assurance programs with applicable developments in strategies and tooling
  
  
  

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Minimum 10 years of experience in software QA,with at least 3 years as a manager
• Proven experience working closely with security teams on thorough security testing, including white box and black box
• Experience with the following technologies: AWS, Docker, Python and JavaScript testing frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Unittest, Jest, Mocha), SQL and SQL Scripting
• Expertise in developing, maintaining, and improving automated testing frameworks using Python and JavaScript
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Comprehensive understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, with a focus on continuous improvement
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Proven experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
