Pay Rate: $38.46 per hour

Position Summary

This position is responsible for supporting the client’s business unit(s) with the negotiations, management, and coordination of various software licensing contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Source, negotiate, and secure licensing rights to third-party intellectual property for the use in the client’s products, services, and solutions
    • Collaborate with the team to evaluate and select suppliers, negotiate T’s and C’s, optimize costs, mitigate risks, and execute contracts
    • Assure that the rights, limitations and obligations negotiated align with the client’s business unit's requirements and objectives
    • Highlight key negotiation points and work to resolve and draft language reflective of the client’s interests and policies
  • Manage the contracting process by working with stakeholders to draft and negotiate appropriate contractual language to reflect the business interest
    • Perform risk analysis, including developing and communicating creative solutions to resolve issues within project constraints (scope, schedule, resources)
    • Maintain accurate and timely data in all procurement systems according to established processes and practices
  • Follow Software Sourcing Lifecycle as a framework for completing contracts and meeting client sourcing requirements
    • Interface with business units, legal, finance, subsidiaries, and other relevant organizations to bring contract to closure
    • Lead the review and approval process to ensure all parties align on negotiations points prior to contract signature
    • Comply with audit, financial, and system requirements and assist in resolving post-execution contract modification requests and disputes
  • Handle routine contract requests by using standard template and drafting alternative responses with review by senior team members
    • Perform work in alignment with overall priorities of team software function
    • Manage the contract administration for this function
  • Acts as trusted advisor to senior business and legal leaders in assigned areas of responsibility
    • Build strong internal and external networks
  • Identify, propose, and implement business process/workflow improvements
  • Occasionally work 40+ hours in a week to meet certain team milestones
  • Perform other duties as needed

Education And Credential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering Management, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA preferred
  • JD Law Degree preferred
  • Eligible to work in the US without RLA sponsorship for employment visa status


Experience Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a contracts management role including project/program management responsibilities within a Procurement or Operations organization
    • Drafted and negotiated software/SaaS licensing contracts
    • Worked on cross functional teams across software products and services
    • Used Agile/Scrum management methodologies on large scale projects to have consistently met deadlines, successfully triaged changing priorities, identified risks, and tracked issues to resolution
  • Experience using different CRM or ERP platforms e.g., SAP
  • Experience successfully triaging changing priorities and being flexible on business needs
  • Experience with regular and direct communication with customers and external partners

Skills Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
  • High proficiency using productivity software such as M365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams and SharePoint)
  • Ability to use agile/scrum project/program management principles and methodologies to consistently meet task deadlines, triage changing priorities, and track issues to resolution
  • Ability to collaborate across diverse teams with a customer service mindset
