Responsibilities

The Customer Experience (CXP) organization in Azure is looking for a software engineer who loves technological challenges and problem solving, is excited about online services, cloud computing and user experience, and is passionate about making better software while continuously improving the development process.  We need an engineer who is a self-starter and likes to learn every day.  As a member of our team, you will participate in all stages of our engineering lifecycle - from initial research and discovery, quick iteration on promising concepts, solution prototyping, designing, and delivering features end to end - including system architecture, code, deployment, scale, performance, and quality, all the way through successful service rollout and live site support.  You will have ample opportunities and scope to demonstrate your technical abilities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check

  • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • A proven track record of shipping high quality products or services 
  • Experience building and shipping distributed web services
  • Experience with one or more cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, etc.)

Software Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $81,900 - $160,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $105,600 - $174,600 per year.
