Caron Engineering is seeking a full-time Software Engineer who would be responsible for developing cutting-edge software solutions targeting various manufacturing industries.
Roles & Responsibilities
The responsibility of this role will include, but may not be limited to the following:
- Convert ideas and visions into solid technical designs and solutions (application coding and/or physical hardware components)
- Technical Skills Required
- C/C++ or C#
- Web development frameworks (HTML5, CSS, TypeScript, Angular)
- Cross platform development expertise
- Scrum development workflow using JIRA including time reporting
- Advocate of JIRA
- Software design and development and testing for all CEI components (with assistance)
- Trouble-shooting skills
- Knowledge in various industrial protocols including EtherCAT, Modbus TCP, and Ethernet/IP is a plus.
- Must also be able to communicate well with on-site work contacts to support any Q&A and troubleshooting; strong verbal and written skills with all colleagues (both internal and external to CEI)
- Keeps manager informed of important activities and decisions
- Extensive documentation (manuals) for all design, coding and testing
- A pleasant personality is necessary as you spend a lot of time with coworkers; works well with a team

- External – degrees, certifications, and experience – helps to have a related degree or experience in the field of CNC (computer numerical control) programming; degree in computer science, engineering
- Starting salary of $60,000 to $75,000 dependent on experience and education
