Software Development Manager

IntePros is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead a team of 5 developers at a leading North American oilfield services firm, supporting both ongoing feature development and final stages of a project. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong proficiency in .NET and React, recent management experience including code reviews, and a background in Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a team of five developers by setting clear goals, providing mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Oversee the completion of the current project by effectively managing resources, timelines, and deliverables, while also coordinating ongoing feature development to meet business objectives.
  • thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, maintain code quality, and identify opportunities for improvement in .NET and React development.
  • Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to the development team, addressing technical challenges, troubleshooting issues, and assisting with problem resolution as needed.
  • Utilize Agile methodologies to manage project boards, organize 2-week sprints, and facilitate efficient project execution, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between the development team and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and aligning development efforts with business goals and priorities.


What are the top MUST HAVE skill sets (technical) that are required?

  • Demonstrated expertise in .NET and React development, encompassing a strong understanding of their respective frameworks, tools, and best practices.
  • Proven track record of managing software development teams, including hands-on experience with software management tools and conducting effective code reviews.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies, such as managing project boards and facilitating 2-week sprints, ensuring efficient project delivery and adaptation to changing requirements.


What are top three PREFERRED skill sets (technical)?

  • Familiarity with the unique operations, processes, and challenges inherent to the oil and gas industry, facilitating a deeper understanding of project requirements and stakeholder needs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar
  • Proficiency in cloud computing platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for conveying project requirements, providing clear instructions to the team, and facilitating collaboration with stakeholders.

Compensation: $155k-$160k
