Overview:


We are seeking an experienced Social Media Manager to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in scaling our social community while increasing engagement and impressions. Reporting to the Associate Director of Social Media, you will spearhead strategy and execution of existing and upcoming social platforms with a primary focus on video content creation.


Responsibilities:


Social Media Management:


  • Work with the Associate Director of Social Media and social media team to concept and execute channel content strategy.
  • Support and educate on cutting edge social strategy and content types to keep the brand relevant and innovative.
  • Partner closely with the Associate Social Media Manager on community management, content creation, calendars, and reporting.
  • Develop a monthly social media calendar to align with new launches, marketing priorities, and social holidays.
  • Coordinate with internal creative teams by submitting project request forms for asset needs.
  • Collaborate with copy teams to craft messaging for social channels and posts.
  • Present cross-functionally for approvals to ensure messaging aligns with brand standards.
  • Analyze post performance, track KPIs, and report on industry activity through monthly reports.
  • Highlight philanthropic organizations and seek out partner brands for collaboration opportunities.
  • Stay informed of the latest social media trends.


Content Creation:


  • Strategize and pitch content opportunities across social channels with a focus on breakthrough content.
  • Manage short-form video content by contributing briefs, providing feedback, and making edits.
  • Produce content including filming, modeling, and editing.
  • Support cross-functional team content needs for paid social media ads and retail partners in addition to Moroccanoil brand channel needs.
  • Cover events and brand photoshoots by attending, capturing content, and editing footage.


Qualifications:


  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in social media marketing.
  • Passion for beauty, experience in this field preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Pinterest, and Facebook.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with a flexible, positive, and solutions-driven attitude.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with video creation and editing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proficient in project management.
  • Open to travel opporutnities.
  • BA degree or higher.
