Position Overview:
The social media manager will drive our social platforms and be key in executing our look and feel both online and in-store through marketing collateral. This role requires a high degree of creativity with a knack for organization and a desire to take our brand to the next level.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Management:
- Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy across platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and others relevant to our audience.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of social media campaigns.
- Engage with our online community by responding to comments, direct messages, and moderating online discussions as needed.
- Stay updated on the latest social media best practices and trends to ensure maximum effectiveness.
Team/ Influencer Management
- Manage social media coordinators across the country to ensure brand standards are upheld & posting cadence is met.
- Oversee our VID (Very Important Dog) program to help promote brand awareness through social media
Graphic Design:
- Create compelling visual content for social media platforms, websites, and marketing collateral that aligns with our brand identity.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design visual assets for campaigns, events, and promotions.
- Ensure consistency in design and messaging across all platforms and materials.
Content Creation:
- Plan and produce high-quality content that resonates with our audience.
- Use graphic design skills to enhance blog posts, videos, and other content formats.
- Generate new ideas for social content and campaigns to drive engagement and growth.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Track analytics and ROI of social media campaigns to determine effectiveness and areas for improvement.
- Provide monthly reports on social media engagement, growth, and other relevant metrics.
- Use data-driven insights to refine and optimize social media and design strategies.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., operations, events) to ensure a unified and consistent brand presence.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions, team meetings, and project planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2 years minimum of brand or agency experience.
- Proven experience in managing social media platforms and creating compelling visual content.
- Strong proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Passion for animals and a deep understanding of Bark Social's mission and values.
