Job Title: Social Media Manager at Bark Social


Location: Baltimore, MD (Hybrid)

Position Overview: 

The social media manager will drive our social platforms and be key in executing our look and feel both online and in-store through marketing collateral. This role requires a high degree of creativity with a knack for organization and a desire to take our brand to the next level.


Key Responsibilities:


Social Media Management:

  • Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy across platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and others relevant to our audience.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of social media campaigns.
  • Engage with our online community by responding to comments, direct messages, and moderating online discussions as needed.
  • Stay updated on the latest social media best practices and trends to ensure maximum effectiveness.

Team/ Influencer Management  

  • Manage social media coordinators across the country to ensure brand standards are upheld & posting cadence is met.
  • Oversee our VID (Very Important Dog) program to help promote brand awareness through social media 

Graphic Design:

  • Create compelling visual content for social media platforms, websites, and marketing collateral that aligns with our brand identity.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design visual assets for campaigns, events, and promotions.
  • Ensure consistency in design and messaging across all platforms and materials.

Content Creation:

  • Plan and produce high-quality content that resonates with our audience.
  • Use graphic design skills to enhance blog posts, videos, and other content formats.
  • Generate new ideas for social content and campaigns to drive engagement and growth.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Track analytics and ROI of social media campaigns to determine effectiveness and areas for improvement.
  • Provide monthly reports on social media engagement, growth, and other relevant metrics.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine and optimize social media and design strategies.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other departments (e.g., operations,  events) to ensure a unified and consistent brand presence.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, team meetings, and project planning.



Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2 years minimum of brand or agency experience.
  • Proven experience in managing social media platforms and creating compelling visual content.
  • Strong proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for animals and a deep understanding of Bark Social's mission and values.
