THE ROLE (general, Including But Not Limited To)
- Narrative and audience driven understanding of social media content
- Best practice knowledge of social media platforms including but not limited to TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube & YouTube Shorts, Twitter, Pinterest, and emerging platforms
- Post and write copy for social channels Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube and TikTok, and emerging platforms
- Coordinate content calendars for all social channels
- Schedule all final partner-approved posts through Sprout Social
- Provide monthly analysis and reporting on our social media platforms to show progress and communicate insights
- Create social media graphics using a variety of creative tools (InDesign, Photoshop, Canva)
- Mine social media conversations, engage in conversation on behalf of the brand, and collaborate with internal teams to craft responses
- Enthusiastic self-starter who aspires to be an expert social media manager and a master of scheduling, copywriting, and social content creation
- Attend events and produce live social media content
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in social media, marketing, or communications
- 1+ years of intern and/or social media direct experience for a professional company
- A passion for celebrating Black excellence and culture
- Experience building communities and generating awareness on (at minimum) Facebook, IG, and YouTube
- A modern aesthetic, strong judgment, and equally strong communication skills
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Extreme detail orientation is critical
- Good communication, management, decision-making, and relationship-building skills
- Team player willing to absorb, enhance, and execute brand direction
