Our Client is seeking a Senior Vice President Operations (SVP Ops), who will be a key strategic partner to the CEO and executive team building a fast growth global leader in the food industry. This role oversees a substantial growing multi-site business. The candidate has responsibility for end-to-end supply chain and manufacturing. This Candidate will be an instrumental partner to the CEO making strategic decisions for the future of the organization and be involved in commercial decisions as the business moves forward. S/He will build the supply chain and manufacturing organization to support the growth. The organization has plans to double in size and has well-known global customers.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The SVP Ops will possess the skills and leadership qualities for continued growth and succession within the company.

  • Demonstrated success and proven track record in managing, directing accountability, and oversight of a multi-site manufacturing organization; will consider larger scale one site Leadership or sizeable location GM experience with relevant product experience.
  • Food manufacturing experience is desirable.
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set and flexible, agile leader, who thrives in a positive environment.
  • Effective in leading by influencing others and valuing people in building an organization.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic partner to CEO with professional presence. Able to work with large well-known global customers.
  • Proven ability to attract, develop, retain, and motivate a team.
  • A combination of large company and small company career experience (or equivalent) is desirable; someone who is sophisticated enough to build a business, but still somewhat hands on. Ideal candidate with relevant meat experience may be in midsize or smaller business now, but is looking for a larger role in a decent size growing company.
  • This posting is in support of a confidential retained executive search taking place. We are currently retained on a variety of COO roles in food, all roles reporting the CEOs, for both private and private equity seeking meat, perishable, or broader food experience for multi-site business between 3 and 28 sites.


Location: Open, but Illinois and Wisconsin are preferred.
