What will you be doing?

The Global Controller is responsible for the oversight, preparation, analysis, and distribution of the company's global consolidated financial results, and manages the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes to ensure accurate, timely, and relevant financial results in compliance with U.S. GAAP and other applicable regulations. In addition, the role is expected to direct and develop globally standardized processes and procedures for the monthly close process, as well as to foster a high-performance culture and maintain an effective internal control environment. This role reports to the Chief Accounting Officer.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversight of day-to-day global controllership operations, including revenue accounting, accounting operations, monthly close process, account reconciliations, and payroll operations.
  • Own production of timely and accurate monthly financial results in compliance with all U.S. GAAP and other applicable reporting requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and execute globally standardized accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency of controllership activities suitable for a U.S. multinational public company.
  • Oversee the implementation of key SOX controls to drive the completeness and accuracy of global financial results.
  • Oversight of the global payroll function, including new or existing systems and relationship management with external providers.
  • Collaborate with FP&A to support the reporting and monitoring of actual performance against budget, forecast, and long-range plans.
  • Collaborate with Treasury and Tax on cash management, working capital, payment terms, F/X impacts, and hedging, as
  • Act as a key business partner to other functions (Commercial, HR, Strategy, Legal, etc.) in support of achieving company objectives.
  • Foster and develop a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring, and providing career advancement opportunities.
  • Implement new accounting systems, processes, and requisite internal controls, as needed.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence focused on scaling the organization through process efficiency, automation, and offshoring to shorten the close cycle, reduce risk, and improve decision support.

Requirements

  • Accounting or Finance degree from an accredited university; CPA required; MBA is a plus
  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including Big 4 public accounting firms
  • Global controller experience at $2.0 billion+ revenue, multinational U.S. public company
  • IPO experience is a plus
  • Ability to lead and thrive in a dynamic, high growth, and rapidly changing environment
  • Strongly prefer successful transformation experience, including automation and offshoring
  • People-focused leader with proven ability to build high-performing, collaborative teams; develop people; and link performance to overall high-growth business objectives.
  • High intellect, deep analytical skills, strong business acumen, and mental agility
  • Challenge seeker, courageous and fast-paced; not intimidated by the depth of interrogation typical in private equity sponsorship
  • Experience with Net Suite, BlackLine, and Coupa is a plus

This position can be located in the following area(s): continental United States with an ability to travel to Company offices periodically

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $275,000-$340,000.
